Nice accomplishment!

I totally relate. My goal is to lose 20 lbs. I have lost about 10 lbs of the 20 lbs and initially it seemed really great. My clothes feel looser and I was pleased as to how I was beginning to look in the mirror. However, I have not lost anything since early January and all of a sudden I feel just as uncomfortable wth…

I am right there with you. I have basically stalled out since Christmas. I have another 10 to lose and I seem to just maintain. However, if I was totally honest with myself, I do well Mon-Fri and probably give it all back over the weekend. When I was strict 7 days, not just 5 days, I was losing about 1 lb a week. I have…

Pink Lady apples, sugar free fudgicles, chicken, artichokes, mushrooms, roasted tomatoes, salad, lower calorie salad dressings from Trader Joe's, almonds, grilled peppers.

My office workers are definitely not thinking about their health and on all occasions, lunch purchased by the company will include the likes of pizza, burgers, fries, chinese food, etc. My office workers have gotten used to the fact that I don't usually participate but will say something like "we have pizza today, if you…

What a difference in such a short time. You look great! Keep up the good work!

I am trying to lose that last 10lbs also. I seem to be stuck but if I am totally honest with myself, I am not as rigid with my diet as I was in the beginning. So, I probably need to be more consistent with my "clean" eating and I would drop those last lbs. Just a thought...are you eating or exercising differently than when…

Thanks for posting. I am 5'3 and my goal is 125. I am currently at 134. It is great to see the progression. You look great and your pics give me inspiration. You are right...when we begin to care, we try harder. Thanks for sharing!

I am 5'3 and shooting for 125. I spent most of my life at about 115 but I don't think that is realistic any longer. I am currently 135 and will take another look when I get to my goal of 125. I am amazed how differently my clothes fit after having lost the first 10 lbs. Pick a goal weight and assess as you close in on your…

I totally understand about the sugar thing. I also have trouble stopping once I start. Time after time I think I am going to only eat one piece of chocolate or one cookie and then I eat more. So, I finally learned that it is best not to even have the first one as it always leads to another. I really pick and choose when I…

Thanks for reminding me why I started this journey...to be a healthier me and lose some weight in the process. I, too have been stuck since late December and did not drop any weight in January. I need to remind myself of my goals and keep the faith. This journey is not about a diet but a change in the overall way that I…

I am a daily weigher because I need/want the accountability. However, I realize that the scale does not always make sense and I look at overall trend. In terms of weight loss, I usually stay in the same general weight range and then finally, I will drop and miss a whole number on the scale. Also, I have noticed that if I…

Impressive....I would shoot for the next 8lbs and re-evaluate at that time. You look great...Keep up the good work!

Glad to find this posting. I am 5'3 and currently at 135 and my goal weight is 125. I sort of lost focus between Christmas and New Years and I am back on track today. I was up early to go to my 5:30 am bootcamp and it felt good to exercise after a weekend of less than healthy eating. I usually weigh-in daily as it keeps me…

Thanks for sharing your journey. You look not only beautiful but also really happy. Congrats on your weight loss. Keep up the good work!

I am a daily weigher as well. I feel it works for me.....if I am down that day I feel like I am making progress and if I am up on a particular day I realize I need to keep going. I look at overall trend and ranges and don't freak out if it doesn't make sense. For instance this week makes no sense to me at all. I have eaten…

You guys are the best! Thanks for posting your pics.....you both look amazing!

I love my Diet Root Beer and Diet Dr. Pepper. I have 1 diet soda a day and don't feel bad about it. About 5 years ago I gave up sugared soda and initially lost weight. I think I just replaced that lost sugar with other items with sugar during the day and gained what I had lost. I am glad that I don't drink sugared sodas…

I am 5'3 and I have my goal weight at 125. I am currently at 137 (down 7 lbs from high) and actually feel OK at this weight. I am a medium build and do alot of strength training and exercise that has helped be heavier and look better at a higher weight. Most of my life (until 50, menopause and finnally quitting smoking) I…

I have tried some different things that have turned out rather tasty.....a little olive oil and parmesan on butternut squash. Another that I have done with delicata squash is glaze with lime, butter and chili powder. You really don't need alot of the glaze and it gives a really good flavor. I found the recipe online. I…

Thanks for sharing. I wish you the best on your quest for a healthier life. It looks like you are really heading in the right direction. God bless...keep at it!

My recent favorite store bought salad dressings are from Trader Joe's. Today, I had the low fat parmesan ranch and it is great...only 30 calories per 2 tablespoons. I am not a fan of ranch per se (how, unamerican) and I think this dressing is great. I would also highly recommend the Cranberry Walnut Gogonzola salad…

So totally relate to the 3pm crash. In fact, I am already beginning to go down and it is 2:45. I have been this way my entire life....or at least it seems that way. It seems normal to me. I have a desk job and need to get up and walk around and do some simple exercises. If I give into it, I could literally fall asleep at…

Thanks for posting. Although I did not eat any candy at Haloween, I have had a craving for sugary stuff today. I came to work and there are all sorts of sugary treats...homemade donuts and lots of delicious cookies. I am a cookie addict and have gone into the coffee room and looked at those cookies several times. My…

Thanks for sharing your success. Your story made me really laugh and I needed a good laugh today. Yes, it was lucky that you weren't wearing a skirt.

Thanks so much for sharing the pics. I am 5'3 and it is nice to see the pics of others in my height range. You look fabulous and should be so proud of your accomplishment. I am shooting for a similiar goal weight (130 ish) ....you are a true inspiration. I am going to send you a friend request....need support from others…

Good to connect with a group of ladies over 50 years old. I am now 55 and I continue to be amazed how life and my body changed after 50. I was always lean and then hit the brick wall at 50. I have been trying to lose weight for the last year with no real results. I joined MFP last month and have lost 4lbs....yeah!!! I…

Great Job! It is such a nice feeling to put on a pair of pants and have them fit. Thanks for sharing your success!

I weigh on a daily basis and it works for me. When I quit weighing daily, it usually means I am off track and not wanting to see reality. I think it is a very individual thing. The only thing if you weigh daily, you have to be aware that you will have variations that don't seem to make sense. For me, I am OK with that...if…

Would love to be your friend and support. I live in Madison, WI and started on this site about 3 weeks ago. It has been great and I am losing weight...yeah!!! It really helps to log all my meals and see the calories. I am 5'3 and currently weigh about 140 lbs. I am looking to lose another 10 lbs and then take a look at…
