I had it cut for me at a polish deli, where of course I don't have access to nutrition. So I looked up cured pork bacon (general) online. And I was comparing it to the other stuff I buy. I know it was a bit thicker cut, but it just seems crazy that it would be that much. I'm not all that concerned about it. Just thought it…

Coffee - or any caffeine. Caffeine is a natural appetite suppressant.

I would start by weighing everything! You need to be super precise about what you're doing. Do that for a couple of weeks, without fail, and see what happens. If that doesn't work, come back and ask for more help. But you can't know what's wrong unless you're 100% sure about your burns and intake. You might just want to…

You might want to open your diary so people can see. But the first thing I would ask is are you using a scale to measure your food? You can have mistakes of 100's of calories if you aren't properly measuring.

Yup, 3 things I do, take an allergy pill, use a daily steroid type inhaler (I use advair, most doctors will give flovent; I only use it on my running days because otherwise I don't need it daily) and then about 15 to 20 minutes before my run I use my rescue inhaler. Most of the time this cocktail works great, but if…

Strava ap. It's really nice, it is just an estimate, but it looks at speed, elevation etc.

I have suffered from ridiculous shin splints for years. To the point of them being crippling. The best thing you can do is try and rehab the muscles. If you google it there are tons of exercises that pop up. I personally find that heel and toe walking (walk on your heels with your toes up, walk on your tip toes) are the…

It's fine, but she shouldn't use weights.

It could be nothing or it could be something. I know that some people when they take ibuprofen will bruise more easily (specifically those with less melanin) also aspirin intake can make a difference. But since it has come on rather suddenly I would suggest seeing your doctor just to rule out any other underlying causes.

Here's my theory, so endorphins are released about after about 30-40 minutes of exercise. Also, epinephrine (adrenaline) is released when the body is feeling 'stressed'. Working out for long periods does produce stress, but the good kind. So! epinephrine is released in response to hypoglycemia, stress, and other factors.…

My fur baby, Regulus. This is the face I wake up to every morning screaming at me to feed him.

^^^what she said. And also, if you expect it to be done - then expect to do it yourself. It's all about reciprocity.

Just and FYI everyone, students don't usually qualify for food stamps. A lot of places it's an automatic disqualification unless you have children.

You can cook chicken breast in the microwave. It's not the best but it works. I used to do it all the time. Just cut all the fat off first because it get's rubbery. Annie's meals are good. Also, salad will be your friend. If it were me I would go get a convection toaster oven and just hide it...

Yup, I'll be getting some of those!

I mean, figuring out the emotional stuff is super important (IMO) but it's not going to make any difference unless you do the physical work.

I have a friend who does green juicing as a supplement to her diet. She really likes it. We both tried the fast itself and thought we were going to die 3 days in. It just gets nauseating and is unnecessary. But having a juice with your breakfast or whatever is nice. And you do get a good lot of the water soluble minerals…

I've been having issues with it lately. I'm going to plan my major meals out ahead of time and pre-log them. So I'm going to have a cooking and logging day that way I don't have to obsess about it every day. But if I don't track, I mindlessly eat, and therefor overeat.

Frozen veggies! And they wont go bad!

Seconded, but make sure she eats clean so that she doesn't pass all of her toxins to you.

Ditto, I work for a university as well. NOTHING is blocked, but I think that's mainly because it's the same internet everyone uses on campus so they really can't put filters on or a lot of things aren't going to be accessible. I can't tell you how many classes use Youtube videos and the like.

For some people caffeine causes high blood pressure. For me, nothing - besides not being able to sleep. WHICH IS AWESOME! Especially during finals!
