Good Morning all you fellow shorties! I am 4'11" and proud of it! What I'm not proud of is my weight. I started this journey at 221 2.5 years ago. I am now down to 171 (fluctuates some) and feel like I have been stalled FOREVER! Charts say I should weigh about 125, but I would be happy with 140! As long as I am healthy, it…

I am the mother to three. I also work full time. I do have a husband, but he works 2nd shift, so I am a 'single' mom at night. Boy, do I have an appreciation for all you single moms out there! By far, you have the hardest job in the world! Anyway, the kids are very active and in sports and such. I drag my tired butt out of…

I am mom to three kids, ages 14, 11, and 4. Life it hectic! I work full time outside of the home. My husband works second shift, so I am single mom at night. Thankfully, my oldest is old enough to babysit if I need her to. I do manage to get in a work out at least once a day, weather it be at 4:00 in the morning or 4:00 in…

Okay, well you have taken the first step to better health! Congratulations on that!! As others have said, start small. Make a small change every week or so. In time, they will add up and you WILL get results. It will take a lot of patience and will, but you can do this! Please add me as a friend and I will motivate you…

I completed the program in August. I just wanted to tell you to have fun with it and happy running!!

I use Sundays to prepare all my weekly meals as well! I just get up earlier than everyone in the house as to not take time away from the family. I throw my chicken in the oven and cook it up. Portion it into individual steam bags with veggies and a little seasoning and you have lunches for the week. I also prep dinners on…

Love this song as well. Just watched the video and it made me like it even better! I know this is not a post about 'workout songs' but another good one is Titanium by David Guetta ft. Sia. Great beat and lyrics!!

Just turned 40 last week. Started the C25K in May and finished in August. Ran my first 5K in August and just ran another one last weekend. Have one coming up next weekend as well. I do love to run, but not sure if I love it enough to run any further than a 5K. Maybe someday I will feel differently though. Happy running!! R…

Please add me! I definitely need friends on here.

Just speculating here, but I bet the foods you ate were high in sodium. If you tend to retain water, that is probably the pound difference!
-
Congrats! That is a great time for your first 5K! Actually, any time is a great time for any 5K!
-
Congratulations! What an accomplishment! I did my first one back in August and have been hooked ever since. Keep up the great work!!

Up at 3:45 three to four mornings a week to run! Out the door by 4:00. BEST TIME EVER to run! But, I live in a very small town (1700 people) and the streets are very well lit. I'm a morning person anyway, so that doesn't hurt. I work 7:00-3:30, so it works perfect with my schedule. Most nights, the kiddos are in bed by…

i started the C25K back in May and completed it in August. It is one of the hardest things I have ever done, but also the most rewarding! I had never run before in my life, with the exception of sports in school, and now I can run for three miles with no problems, sometimes more. Things I have learned along the way: 1 -…
