  • Made to Crave... It's a Christian take on weight loss.
  • That's fantastic! I love reading stories like this!
  • Thanks everyone! Lots of great suggestions! I am going to have to buy some more okra just to try out the new ideas and recipes. :-)
  • I saw this recipe on Pinterest I want to try....Crockpot ranch style pork chops. You only use 3 ingredients and looks super easy. If you don't have time to cook in the crockpot, I'm sure you modify the recipe and cook in a pan. Here's the link....…
  • I use full fat dressing on everything except I only use 1tbsp instead of the serving size of 2 tbsp. Ranch-Kraft Chipotle southwest-Hidden Valley If I'm eating a taco salad, I skip the dressing and just use salsa. Sometimes I add sour cream Honey mustard Caesar-Wishbone
  • ????? No offense and I don't mean this in a rude or ugly way, but that is one of the stupidest reasons not to drink water. Your body needs lots of water to function properly. Your body also needs water to flush out fat, toxins, and all the bad things in your body. Also, drinking more water will also help with weight loss.…
  • How much weight are you trying to lose? Why can't you drink water at college? I think all these things you listed is one step closer to a healthy life. I think these small changes will lead to some weight loss. I think you need to drink water the majority of the time, not just on the weekends. Eating healthy snacks instead…
  • That's awesome! Keep up the good work!
  • I buy the Greek Gods Yogurt. The Honey Strawberry tastes like dessert to me. But DON'T make the mistake of buying the plain greek yogurt. It has an awful taste. My hubby put it in his protein shake and it had a horrible after taste to it.
  • That's awesome!
  • When my husband was deployed, I lost 30 pounds. When he came home, I gained 30 pounds back. So yeah. :noway:
  • Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I'm checking the suggestions out right now. @cordianet- I am looking to lose weight. I have lifted weights before but I am no expert. I don't have any physical limitations. I have been working out for about 2 months now since the birth of my child so I guess I'm a beginner.
  • I am in the same boat. My husband keeps saying he can tell I am losing weight but the scale won't budge. My baby is 8 months old and my weight loss stalled about 3 weeks ago, going on 4. I am eating healthy, working out, and exclusively breastfeeding.... I saw a post on here about adding calories to lose weight. I have…
  • I'm 5'4 and the last time I was successful at weight loss, I was 169 and was a size 12. My body shape is bigger bust and hips and smaller waist (hourglass figure). I don't know if that's normal weight or not but I was lifting weights too.
  • Yep. Any movement burns calories. If you want to burn extra calories, set your incline higher on the treadmill or walk uphill.
  • 93 right now but it has cooled off. I'm pretty sure it was above 100 today. I'm 90 miles southwest of Dallas/Fort Worth.
  • Peaches, watermelon, and cantaloupe.
  • I don't know yet. I'm thinking of BBQ grilled pork chops, macaroni salad, and some kind of veggie -Grilled chicken, with rice, and broccoli -Chicken soft tacos with homemade pico de gallo, a little cheese, and a side of sauteed squash. -homemade meatloaf, homemade mashed potato, and green beans -- -grilled hamburger on…
  • You don't have to spend lots of money on healthy food. I am a SAHM with a 8 month old baby, 4 year old, and my husband one that gets a paycheck. Money is ALWAYS tight and I eat healthy and spend aproximately $100 on all 4 of us for a weeks worth of groceries. I would love to eat organic but we just don't have the money for…
  • A size 8-10. Even a 12 would be good for me. But, the ideal size would vary depending on the person. If they are really toned, a size 8 would work. If they are skin and bones at a size 10, then I would say they need to gain some weight. For me, I would be happy with a size 12 but would aim for about a size 10.... That is…
  • I have read articles that vary. Livestrong says 500 calories. Another article said 500-750. And another web site said it depends on the age of the baby. So I am guessing no one knows for sure. .... I am exclusively BFing my 8 month old and I figure in about an extra 500 calories. I am listening to my body and paying…
  • This..... For some, not eating the exercise calories will put their body into starvation mode. If your body thinks it's starving, then it will hold onto everything you eat resulting in no weight loss. Your metabolism will also slow down.
  • You may want to wait until your baby is about 3 months old so you can establish your milk supply. My baby is 8 months old and I lost all but 16 pounds of the weight I gained while pregnant. I gained about 60 pounds (that is not a typo) and didn't do anything but nurse my baby. Now I am working on the weight I put on before…
  • Mix 1 can of rotel, 1 can of black beans, 1 can of corn or about 2 cup of corn, 1/2 tsp cumin. Put 6-8 chicken breasts in pyrex dish and top with mixture. Cover with tin foil. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes. Top with cheese. Or do this same recipe with tin foil packets on the grill. This recipe is so simple and yummy!…
  • Wow this is amazing. This is inspiring!
  • I was always hungry when I ate junk and was under my calorie limit. Needless to say, I didn't calorie count for very long when I was eating junk. Not to mention, I was very sluggish and so was my weight loss. I didn't have much energy to do anything. When I eat healthy now, I am satisfied with the same calorie limit and…
  • This isn't really creative but, every time I workout I put a star on my calender. If I do cardio, then it's red. If it's strength then it's gold. My husband does the same thing. It sounds stupid but I actually feel like a kid getting stars for working out. haha Also, at the end of the month if I have been good and have got…
  • Have you tried increasing your calories? Your body could be in starvation mode if your not eating your exercise calories. You might try increasing your exercise time, intensity, or workout routine to get you out of the plateau. I was reading an article a few days ago about how your body memorizes a workout and learns how…
