No crushes, but I do admire a lot y'all for being in such good shape. :) I'm trying to get to a better place in my fitness.

Moving of boxes and stuff can be a great workout. Just think about how you move stuff more, and make it a workout. Look at strength training exercises then apply them to the way you do things at work, and if you are lifting enough weight at work, you won't need a gym. I once read an article with Jason Statham that said he…

Solid advice...while not terribly pleasant..truthful. From a lot of what I've read Plant Fitness gyms are cheap and for a reason, but they give you someplace to workout..which is the most important. SO DO IT! :)

Have you tried an intermittent fasting? This might be what you need or potentially change your diet to a TKD or CKD setup depending on your body fat and exercise regiment. 'Ketosis is easily swayed in and out of, so make sure you are checking with Ketostix to see where you are at.

That was your whole point. It was a dig on something you've never done. Until you've tried it, applied to a fitness regiment you really have no room to talk about what it can and can't do. The people of MFP can and will see gains in their health and their lean muscle mass if they incorporate PUMP into their workout. I…

That seems a tiny bit low, but not far off. The gains in weight lifting don't come from the immediate calorie burn during lifting. It's the calories you burn additional for the next 24hrs that are your real benefit, and the muscle you put on burns calories at rest all the time. Don't be discourage by low HRM numbers in…

Hello, I regularly teach BODYPUMP and BODYCOMBAT here are my rating from my HRM 200lb Male 6'2" BODYPUMP 560kcals BODYCOMBAT 677kcals Don't know if that helps you any, but hopefully it does. I usually log my workouts on MFP right around 550 for PUMP and 650 for COMBAT to guess underneath. I have gotten as high as 800kcal…

It sounds like it's picking up a bit of a high hear rate. I doubt that walking you're getting that high of a heart rate. It's possible but you'd have to be very out of shape, or walking very quickly.

Great job!

Dude, BODYATTACK training is nuts, but don't give up! Seriously I was 290lbs at the start and I could barely survive a BODYATTACK class. Now I can still barely survive a BODYATTACK class but it's for a completely different reason, haha. Anything you put your mind to you you can accomplish. I'm about 100lbs down and feel…

Thanks for reading. I know it was really long block of text.

This is probably the best breakfast on this thread. Start your day with the right type of calorie burning, If you want to spend the day burning fat, eat fats, eat proteins and do your body a favor and skip the oats and other carbs. When you start your day with carbs, you crave them the rest of the day and that's not a good…

Oh you're one of those guys.. go to a BODYPUMP class...and then come back and tell us how easy it was for you to do with the proper amount of weight and correct form.

Turbo fire doesn't really emphasize the true martial arts like COMBAT does, COMBAT relies on the authenticity of a move to give you the whole workout. So while it doesn't feel as intense it is working more muscles if you do the moves correctly, and then as you learn the moves, the workout gets harder and harder as you're…

The single track videos on YouTube are from actual classes, by themselves they are ok but when no teamed up in a proper fashion with the other tracks. They don't do as much. You should definitely look at getting the base Les Mills Combat kit, it's an excellent option for getting into shape if you don't like the group…

Boneless skinless chicken breasts are all I really eat during the day, I put them in a slow cooker for 8-10hrs and then season them with onion and potentially some cajun seasoning. But the really the part that gives them the flavor is the Siracha I pour on it before eating. As long as you have Siracha, almost anything is…

Absolutely.. I try not to eat it very often. I went a few months with out it, just had some the other day though. Soooo good..

Welcome and good luck!

Go on youtube. They have some great workouts that you can use there. 5lbs weights are a great place to start! You can do a number of things with dumbbells like that. You can do squats, biceps, triceps, chest, you name it.

Mexican/Spanish I think....Not sure...I look Spanish more than Mexican for sure.

If I am hungry, I drink water first, if that doesn't work then I eat. :)

From that little of exercise you wouldn't see any muscle being generated that would cause weight gain (NOT trying to put down your exercise at all, please don't read it that way) To me it sounds like you are still taking in far too many calories. I would wager to bet that you should probably be in a 1500-1600 calorie range…

My wife and I ran the Disney Marathon Weekend half together and then she ran the Disney Princess Half, but her playlist was not Disney Music :( I personally don't like running that long with music, for 5ks I do, but at Disney races they have things every mile that entertain you a little so you don't terribly need music.…

Youtube is definitely good source to get some materials. They have a huge variety of strength training workouts on there that are almost always done. If you want to learn some moves for strength training and get a great workout, checkout if your gym has a class like BODYPUMP it's a 55 minute weight training class that will…

I know people that do two classes nearly every day. I myself only double up on Sundays and sometimes Wednesday. If you're just starting out, give your body the time to recover at first, then push yourself, just make sure your two workouts aren't both strength training since your muscles only develop when they have time to…

I keep Sport Beans in my gym bag, and when I'm feeling cruddy and need a boost to work out, I pop a few in there. They have carbs and caffeine in them to keep me going through about any workout.

That's a tad on the lower side, but it depends on how much weight you lift and your body weight and all. It's pretty different for everyone.

This thread made me want to change all my profile pictures to pictures of Lamps..just so people would look at them and say Yes..I find your Lamp attractive..hence..I love lamp.

Probably a good practice. I tend to prefer underestimating. :)

Yes, all of those are for the hour class (55minutes technically ;) )
