Hi! I purchased and read the book and enjoyed it. I also enjoyed Bob's Are you Ready, I found both to be motivating for me. You know, helping me find that motivated mindset. The approach I take with "diet" books is to find information, inspiration and motivation. I think most of us know what we should be doing. Do I follow…

Try freezing some fruit: bananas work well, but if you are looking for lower calories, try berries (strawberries or blueberries). Frozen greek yogurt might work too, but I've never tried that.

Hi Shellie, First, great job on the 21 lb weight loss. Stick with this, you can do it. I just quickly glanced at your diary and I think there are two areas you could look at to help you get away from the plateau. Sodium and fast food. Couple of days your sodium was really high and that will make you retain water no matter…

Gotta love Triple H!!

You know Cassi, maybe you should read through your profile again. Re-read your goals and what motivates you. I always found it easier to control crazy eating a few days before my weigh in (back when I weighed in weekly). You are doing really well, before you know it 12 lbs will be 22 lbs, and then 32 lbs.

Sounds yummy! I bet it would be wonderful with feta... may have to try... thanks!!

Ok, let's talk... first go get a large glass of water and drink it. lol Seriously, try to distact yourself (or is that the talk to me part? - LOL) Shortly your cravings will go away. Obviously if you are stuffed then it's probably in your mind. Maybe try writing down how you feel about being hungry. Try a hot bath. Or for…

There are lots of theories on this subject. Like most I eat some of them back... based on the theory that many exercises are on the high end of the estimate as far as what's burned. I'm concerned with your goals. It looks like you are trying to lose 6 lbs a week. While some may feel that is do-able, it certainly isn't…

Hey, thanks for sharing!! Now if I could just remember some of those names. LOL ~Sheryl

There is a setting under "My Home" in "Account Settings". If it says: "Switch to English Measurements" then you need to select it. For English measurements (ie: cup, Tbsp, etc) the option will say "Switch to Metric Measurements", meaning you are in English measurements. I know this sounds confusing... sorry. It's a…

Lots of posts about eating your exercise calories back. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. But I did want to let you know today I also shoveled snow, according to MFP I burned about 470 calories... however according to my BodyMedia it was about 100 calories less. So just be careful if you are planning on eating ALL the…

Great post! I'm really looking forward to seeing some ideas. We go to an annual party and we need some good ideas that will help me stay on track. Luckily I know someone is bringing fruits and veggies, but honestly it's usually a drink and eat fest... not for me this year. ~Sheryl

Chris is almost done with P90X (like day 87 or something) and he has a blog. He has been posting a synopsis everyday since he started his journey and I'm sure he would love to share his experiences with you. Plus you can just go read them if you are more comfortable with that. Chris and I have been friends since before he…

Hi! I too second the idea of investing in a scale; I love mine. In the mean time I found this on the Internet and you may find it helpful: Yahoo... to be exact... 3-4 oz. is the size of the inside of your hand (palm). Food: 1 Serving 1 Serving Item of Equivalent Size Fruit: 1 Medium 1 Baseball Fruit juice: 6 fluid oz.…

I have the Your Shape Fitness and I really enjoy the Cardio Boxing and some of the boxing games. I typically do the elliptical trainer for my cardio, but I have started doing the cardio boxing on a couple of the days. The more you do, the more advanced programs you can unlock. Do you have a Video rental place around you?…
