Hi Everyone, I was excited to see this posting and join in. My goal is not the 15, but a personal goal of 12 pounds based on doctors recommendation of 2 lbs/ week. Any additional will be nice as long as I am following the healthy guidelines we have agreed on to meet my physical and nutritional needs. Starting weight (July…

I have two favorites, neither of which they make any more...thank goodness! 1: Black Pepper Jack Doritos 2: 3D Doritos..they were kind of puffed, and light.

This sounds wonderful! I can't stand the texture of cottage cheese, but really wish I could eat it do to the high protein content. I will be trying this for lunch today!

These are so funny! Great for a reminder that it is ok to laugh at yourself!

I can't wait to see others posts as well! What a wonderful way to share. I always seem to get stuck in a food rut, because I know the calorie cont and it is less work sometimes.

Bumping to help with my crop of zucchini we are hoping to see this year!

I can see a big difference, especially in your hip area. Your wedding dress drapes very nicely over it now! Keep up the wonderful work...you can do this! Dorothy

Hey everyone, Yes you can wear the FT4 in the pool. Wear the chest strap, transmitter, and watch as normal. The only difference is that you CAN NOT push the watch buttons in the water. I wear mine a lot in the water, since that is the majority of my exercise. I use it for swimming laps, and also water aerobics. Good luck…

Power Challenge I am really slacking off in the power portion of our challenge, and I owe all of you an apology. I had good intentions, but life got in the way. I have not yet found that balance and desire to make exercise a priority in my day. It is the first thing I let go of if my day is busy, and we all know that…

Knowledge Challenge The topic that I struggle with is eating vegetables. It seems like it should be an easy thing, there are so many to choose from, there are a wide variety of ways to cook them, and they are very convenient. But, I don't like them. I know they are good for me, I know they are low calorie and very filling,…

Laura- So glad to have you back! I hope your camping trip was great. I think that your NSV is an important one, I know how difficult it can be to get off the air mattress. I always have to roll onto my knees and hope that there is something to hold onto to get the rest of the way up! I am sure you are doing great. Keep up…

Tami, What a wonderful weekly loss. You are well on your way to meeting your goal for the challenge. It's starting to sound like we all have a couple of pounds that we tend to work with quite a bit. Your inches lost look really good- 5.5 inches overall is great! It shows that what you are doing is working. Keep up the…

McHeather- Congrats on your loss, I am sure you can get to 150. Look at how far you have come already! It is amazing the things our bodies are capable of in our early days. The schedule I kept then was crazy busy, and I was very unhappy at 130. Now, I have a goal of 150 and that seems so far out of reach. Veronica- Your…

Week 5 Results Weight: 260.4 (-2.0) Feels good to be on the negative side of the scale this week. It would be really nice to not gain it back next week as I have done in the past. I seem to fight the same 3 pounds week after week. So wish me luck, and I will do my part by getting off my butt to make it happen. Power…

Must be a Utah thing! I do them too. Do you drop the g from "ing" endings?
-
I am from Utah, and while I don't think I have an accent apparently we do. I do know that most of us from Utah tend to drop the "g" at the end of words; ridin, swimmin, ect.

Crazy Days are here again, put on a happy face! Well, I thought I would rush in, apologize for being MIA, post my recipe and rush out. Looks like everyone's week must be as crazy as my own. I am getting to the final countdown for school starting. It is a crazy time of year, but usually after the first month or so, things…

Good Morning Everyone! Camping was enjoyable this weekend. I was unable to log, because it was a 40 minute drive to get service. So, I made the best choices I could, while still feeling like I was able to enjoy with everyone else. I am back home, and school starts in 2 weeks, so I am hoping that will help me to be a bit…

Veronica, I was so excited to hear about you meeting your goal to increase your weights for strength training. I think that is wonderful and goes to show how dedicated to this process you are. I can't imagine doing strength training with any weight besides what I have on my body at this point!

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing! I am doing much better this week, and I have managed to track the entire week so far. (fingers crossed) I am logging my food, and while I was over calories every day for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I logged them anyway. I have been under on Monday and Tuesday. We are going…

Knowledge Challenge: Respond to articles How fit are you? I have to be honest and say that I did not complete this activity. I think it is great information, and something that I would like to do, but it didn't happen this week. Reading through it though, here are some of my thoughts. 1) I will need to do my one mile walk…

Heather, Your weekend sounds like fun! I love that you were so active, and doing things that you enjoy. It's important to remember those days, and I was happy to hear what your new healthy lifestyle contributed to it! Way to go!

Veronica, Your weekend sounds wonderful. Lots of quality time with the hubby and the opportunity to sleep in. The nachos sound so yummy. I love guacamole. I went over on my calories every day this weekend, but the upside is that I logged each and every one of them. Small steps I suppose!
