Got in 27m of walking today. According to my fitbit, I've gotten 6250 steps (haven't left work yet). My goal is 7000. Feeling good!

I'm a Planner with a capital P. I find that planning makes a world of difference. I've kept a running list of situations (long travel days in airports with kiddo, road trips, potlucks, etc.) with SOLUTIONS. Travel day, I pack: a turkey sandwich, string cheese, fruit, carrots, popcorn, and a packet of peanut butter. How do…

Hi! Glad to hear you're at least doing your exercise! I can't say the same. Got my bloodwork back and it's... almost all bad. :( Feeling blue, I thought I was at least doing a few things right. Started the Beck Diet Solution Workbook, and contrary to the title it's not a diet, it's how to change your behavior and thinking…

Jeebs! Just wrote a whole long post and only the happy birthday message posted.... Glad you had a great homemade birthday meal. And I'm not much of a kale gal but I don't mind it in a smoothie. Crazy busy at work after a couple mellow months. Focusing on healthy eating as much as I can. Gearing up for a trip next week.

Happy birthday

Great job @maureli! You must really love your son to spend 6.5 hours driving him to the airport and home lol LOVE it when I drive right by the fast food place. Yesterday I was tempted by Chick-Fil-A but that request was denied. Worked out with my trainer this morning, 6AM came so fast. Short week at work = :) Knee was sore…

Hey y'all! Last week was a combo of super busy at work, sick kid, and too many evening activities. Hope everyone had a great long weekend. Mine was pretty good. So great to see what goals and daily changes other folks are doing. And sorry MFP didn't publish your whole post, Velma. I've been on a roll (knock wood) with…

So glad to read everyone's updates :) @maureli, we didn't get the snow that you got but it sure is c-c-c-old, yesterday's high was 21. And windy. So you're smart to use your DVDs. Valma, so ambitious to do a half marathon, good on you! And great to take advantage of EVERYTHING your employer offers. Why not? Last year I had…

Hello! 6-7am is my new favorite. It's a magical hour before my family gets up. I've been slacking in the real exercise department, need to make it routine. Waay too cold to be outside. Need to bring bag to work with clothes etc. So I can workout at lunch. Ugh nighttime eating, its a challenge for me too.

Killing it this year with the early rising for am yoga. Now all I need to do is get better at going to sleep on time. Eating is a B+.

Great! I posted a thread for a week.

@Tawna2017 , what time do you start getting ready for bed? Do you make brekkie & lunch every night or do it in batches twice a week?
-
How do you set yourself up to get up early?
-
Great! Any other takers?

I took advantage of daylight saving time to get up at 6 instead of 7 (almost painlessly) but I've been dozing in a bit so it becomes 6:15, 6:30... So my goal is to wake up at 6 consistently during the week. Then I'll push it back to 5:30. I will say that having a bedtime alarm is helpful:…

@EbonyDahlia, what steps are you going to take to knock off those 14kg?
-
Woke up in middle of night and couldn't get back to sleep. So very zzzzzzzz

Exactly, Marla! All of my rational, well-thought-out plans and goals and ideas go flying out the---hey, are there cookies in the freezer? Had a great eating day yesterday and so far, so good today.

September feels like January. Today I committed to tracking.

Struggling. When my behavior doesn't match my values, it hurts. 4 years ago I started my MFP journey because I want to live long enough to see my baby grow up. I'm morbidly obese with high blood pressure & high blood sugar. Last year I gained 20lbs. My desire to lose weight & be a healthy mom-- that's my highest priority…

I'm wearing an aircast on my foot and it has helped a thousand percent! I don't even care that it's ugly as sin. And I'm grateful I can take it off for showering, sleeping, etc. Thanks for asking, as far as the kiddo's ADHD diagnosis, I'm starting to read books and reach out for referrals. Trying to find a family therapist…

I'm reeling from the unexpected news that my kiddo (age 5) has ADHD. Found out yesterday, was shocked. I was confident the doctor was ruling it out. Did not eat my face off. Did have video counseling session, weird (never done that before) but helpful. Foot still hurts, seeing podiatrist in the am.

Valma, you may not be a morning person, but consider shifting your solo downtime to early am when the kiddos & hubs are asleep. It's hard to do but feels AWESOME. I'm not sure what I did to my foot but it is swollen and hurts on the top. Very weird. I saw a doc and took rx, it's getting better, just v slowly... I also went…

This morning I did Yoga, emailed kid's teacher, cleaned up the kitchen a bit while I made fancy flavored coffee, did some writing, made a list of all the things I've had on my mind and emailed it to self, shared a coupon with thrifty pals, had a nice cuddle with kid, made healthy breakfast shake and hard boiled eggs for…
