Awesome!! Wow! I'm blown away. I just turned 30 a few months ago and was beating myself up about wasting my 20's being overweight. I thought I was "getting too old" to make a change. But change can happen at any age! Thanks so much for sharing this!

I'm super discouraged right now. Last week I didn't lose any weight. This week I've been doing extremely good eating and joined a gym and did three work outs this week. I weighed myself yesterday morning and was at 257.4. Yesterday was my Dad's birthday and my mom threw a surprise birthday party for him. I decided that…

I definitely have those days. Sometimes I fight through it and work out anyway and other days I just make sure that my diet is really on point so me not exercising for that day doesn't make a huge impact. Take a day and rest, especially if your getting sick, and get back on the horse when your feeling well. And remember,…

I did pretty bad this weekend but it was such a great weekend. On Friday my son's father took me out for lunch (he'd trying to get out of the dog house, lol:-) I had a grilled chicken salad but it had croutons and i'm sure the Caesar dressing wasn't low fat. After lunch I ordered a slice of red velvet cheese cake....it was…

I deal with it by getting right back on track. That was yesterday and today is today. You can always start over. Yesterday was you cheat for the week. Now refocus and get back on track. Beating yourself up about it will only make it worst. We're all human and this is a continuous war. You may have lost one battle but you…

I was 245 when I became pregnant with my son. During the pregnancy I tipped the scales at 265lbs but my doctor gave me a clean bill of health. I delivered a healthy baby boy who will be three this March. I didn't have any complications, he was actually two weeks over due so I had to be induced (he just was so comfy he…

This was just the post I needed to hear. I had a rough two days and ate a couple more calories that I should'have but I used one of your tips. This is a never ending battle and I fell off the wagon but I'm back on and recommitted to this. I'm printing your list and putting it on my fridge. Congrats on your weight loss and…

Beca2010, I'm eating healthy. Whole foods, no processed junk, trans fats or high sugar. Trying to do things as naturally and organically as possible. Fruits, veggies and lean meats. I don't have a craving for junk food anymore which is awesome. I used to not be able to go to bed without ice cream but I haven't had ice…

I had the same exact experience this week. Weighing in after the holidays had me 1lb higher than I wan last week. I got really discouraged to start seeing the scale going back the other way. It's just fear talking usually. We all know how the human body works and as long as we keep at it and keep our spirits up we will…

I've really adopted the "eat this, instead of that" attitude. I find high yield foods that taste good and give my body a boost. Also as Blondie says keep a steady flow of good for you foods coming in about every 3 hours to keep your body from becoming deprived. Stay active but with three kids I'm sure you already are! Good…

Holy hell of course we can see the difference! You look amazing, great job on getting it off and keeping it off. You're definitely a motivation to me. Post that before and after next to your mirror because that's what you need to see everyday. How far you've come, it's no easy tasks. Congrats!

Whew! Ok, because I thought I was going about this all wrong for a second. I definitely learned not to bring the goodies home. I didn't take home and leftovers from my family's Christmas Dinner and when I do buy I goodies I make sure its not brought back to the house. It also helps that my three year old won't allow…

Hey i'm new to this but you ladies seem really awesome and really motivated and I want in! I started MFP (seriously this time) 3 weeks ago. I've lost 8lbs so far. My weigh in days are Tuesdays in honor of the Biggest Loser (new season starts Jan 5th tune in)! I did really well this Christmas. I practiced very good portion…

I have 119lbs to lose and I'd love to be a part of a group. Let's get it going!

Oh the joy of hummus. It's really one of those hidden treasures. I was just introduced to it this year and its been staple in my fridge ever since. "MMMM Hummus", is right! LOL

I'm new to the board but I'm SOO glad you posted. The MFP meal recorder had began to tell me that I was eating too few calories and sending myself into starvation mode. At first I didn't take it seriously but after hearing your story I am a lot more aware of my eating habits and am making sure that I hit the recommended…

I try and make it fun. I love walking and listening to a new cd I just downloaded. So everytime I get a new cd I'm so excited to get out there and walk so I can listen to it while I do it! So I focus on the music I get to listen to during the walk rather than the walk itself.

Very best of luck on this new adventure and life change. My brother is a personal trainer and he told me that the most important thing is the diet. He says that exercise is great but your body is going to move no matter what. Focus on a healthy diet and you'll have that extra energy to move. Thats what motivates me! One…

It's really awesome, my best friend introduced me to website because shes trying to lose weight also. It really puts things in perspective when you can record and see everything and even plan ahead with meals. I've lost 6 lbs in my first week and i'm really motivated! Good luck! Athena

I've always been heavy since I was young and just kind of accepted it after trying and failing at numerous diets. I just recently ended a long term relationship with my son's father. He said a lot of hurtful things about me and my weight. I gave my all to him and I decided that it was time to give it all to myself for a…
