Hummus

OK, so I bought a container of Eating Well roasted red pepper hummus from Safeway the other day because it was on sale and I needed a few more bucks to qualify for the Safeway freebie special for that day (buy $20 of groceries, get free 5 lb bag of potatoes). So I tried some with a celery stick, and, oh my goodness, so good!
I even had it in a sandwich today for lunch! Definitely buying again next time it goes on sale. Or maybe I'll branch out and try the garlic one. And only 45 calories for 2 T!

I LOVE garlic hummus. My problem with hummus (and nearly every other food) is that I can't stop at one serving. 2 T of hummus isn't nearly enough yumminess for me.0

Oh the joy of hummus. It's really one of those hidden treasures. I was just introduced to it this year and its been staple in my fridge ever since. "MMMM Hummus", is right! LOL0

if you have a food processor it's so easy to make a low fat one. It's the tahini that adds the fat.
I buy the canned chick peas, add garlic, onion, a little salt & pepper to taste and blend it. I've recently added a couple tbsp's of 0% plain yogurt and it makes it creamier! really, very easy to make on your own!0
