Thank you guys.. This is a big help. Looks like a great program to get started with strength training

I do.. I think that the routine helps plus for the most part its things that I like. I do occasionally travel for work or have meals that I dont control in those cases I adjust my routine prior to those meals but I have a routine that i like and quite frankly has taken me a while to what I like and what works so I tend to…

The yellow blob gets smaller and smaller.. good job

Develop a routine. That seems to be the best way for me to stay on track. Even if I travel or have dinners away I can bounce back on my daily routine that has been working. Best of luck.

I guess but I really look bad today.. it looks like I took a sack, made pants out of it and cinched it with a rope. Im wearing a long shirt to try and hide it. Guess winter snuck up on me.

You look great. Very inspiring. Nice job

Yeah.. Ive started to wear my cooler weather work clothes this week and they look awful. they are so big its kind of embarassing.

My point is not everyone falls onto that BMI scale that doctors go by. Ive had doctors tell me it would be impossible for me to get to my actual weight. When they tell me a goal weight Im still overweight or obese. If she is at a weight that is healthy she doesnt necessarily need to be at the actual BMI.

I will log a meal or two if they are not something I eat on a regular basis just to see where I am for the day. I also log if Im going out or traveling just so Im not surprised by anything. If Im at home for a week and making my own meals on a regular schedule Im pretty good without logging.

You would be surprised how little you need to be overweight to fall into the obese category. If youre healthy and comfortable then that is the right weight for you.

I understand what I need to do and the positives of it. There is a lot of planning. I stress about work trips weks in advance. I think about meals days in advance to cover for meals later in the week when I know I dont control what will be served. Its rarely as saying what healthy meal am i hungry for today. Im not saying…

Congrats.. Keeping your A1C in check is a great way to improve your quality of life.

I actually did percentage of body weight. When I got to 10% lost I had them change colors and start over. Im up to 13% lost. They enjoy it. We did a special night out for them at the local Dave and Busters type place to celebrate. They get excited which makes me work harder.

Ive made a thermometer that I keep on the fidge and when each time I lose a percent of my body weight I let my kids color in the thermometer in red. They get excited to color in each mark and see the thermometer move from white to red. I get excited when I hit a new percent (typically a week to two weeks) not only for me…

Good: I can see myself getting thinner and my clothes fitting better or being too big. Exercise becomes easier and something that I long for rather than something that I need to do. Bad: Constant planning and thought. All the meals and exercise and feeling bad or worrying if I cant get in my regular routine of food or…

Wow.. that is dramatic. Congrats. I like this program a lot myself. Finding success for the first time in a long time.

You don't look old enough to be a grandma

This week will be my 90th day logging. Im down 35 pounds. Looking to get down between 75-100 so still a ways to go but love the results so far.

I ran across this. This seems accurate to what Ive noticed About 10-15% of the calories in nuts aren’t absorbed, and there is some evidence that eating nuts can boost metabolism slightly (38). Combined with the hunger-fighting properties, it makes sense that nuts are a great addition to an effective weight loss diet.…

Lets hope so

Hump Day here

Ill have to check that out.. thanks for the advice.
-
Thanks.. I did feel fuller longer. It was a pleasant surprise.
-
I kind of thought that too.. I guess I was wondering if the body burned nuts differently than say fruits. I am pretty patterned with my diet especially during the week which is why I was surprised by going down instead of going up despite having had additional calories.

Almond butter? Not familiar with that but it sounds good.

Restarting is a good step. Make a new plan so you dont fall off again. You got this.
