When I first started the 5K I did do the knee lifts and heel lifts. Now I've added strength training to my routine so I don't need the added exercises. I just walk through those times.

Runner 5, you are not alone. Welcome!

Week 1? Okay not really. I'm only on week 5, but I have to say week 4 was my favorite week. It was a great "break" after week 3 and I like it much better than week 5. I'm hoping week 6 is better. :)

I've been MIA as well. But I've been doing my runs. I'm on week 5 day 3 for my next run. I feel as though I've hit a wall with this. Every day I ran this week it's been a little worse and a little slower. I'm still improving my distance every week but it seems really tough for some reason. I though week 3 was going to be…

Well today's run didn't go as well as I had hoped. W5D1 kicked my butt. It didn't help that I had to sprint around a horde of women hogging both sides of the park sidewalk. People can be so thoughtless! Anyway, after that my calves cramped up and I didn't do all the drills and walked most of the time but I still managed to…

Woot! Got my 5k stamp today and I'm halfway though the 5k program! Happy Day!!
-
Looking forward to today's run. After today I'll be at the half way mark. I think I'm improving but still have a ways to go, but I'm enjoying the journey. :)

I'm staying Thurs to Sunday. Flying through LAX just because it's easier and cheaper from my airport. Wish I could afford to stay a couple more days...

Finished Week 3 Workout 2. No glitch in the GPS so I can officially say I completed 4k today in the 45 mins. Nice feeling, but a bit sore after the workout.

Well yesterday, in the rain, I completed Week 3 Mission 1. I'm a bit sore today in the thighs, but I'm not dead! :) It's a rough workout but I'm determined to get though it. I don't want to have to repeat this week!

I have several large parks near by where I run with the armadillos, raccoon, squirrels and bunnies. One park has some major up and down spots, the other is nice and FLAT. I usually go to the flat one. :)
-
My thought is--- if I complete all the drills as intended and run at least part of the free runs, I will move on to the next week. If not, I'll be repeating.

Harvard Health has a nice list of glycemic loads of some foods for anyone interested on how it effects blood sugar. Everyone is different and it's just a guideline. The potato is near the bottom. http://www.health.harvard.edu/newsweek/Glycemic_index_and_glycemic_load_for_100_foods.htm

YA! Week two done. Not looking forward to week three it looks hard!

Spikes your blood sugar...for those of us pre-diabetic, not a good thing. :(

Well, while in college my game playing has declined. I did play WoW, I have a level 90 Druid (should be Horde, but my friend convinced me to change to Alliance...big mistake) sitting in hibernation until the next expansion. I started playing WoW a week after it first released WAY back there. I started playing MMOs back…

I just finished Week 2 Day 2. Wasn't a good run today, but I finished it. Kinda worried about what week 3 has in store for me. Also wondering if I should walk more at the end of my run. I do a cool down, but I was wondering if I should be aiming at 5K every week, It's only a mile or so more than what I'm doing now. Or…

I've just finished Week 1. I'm able to run here and there on the free run. Kinda looking forward to Week 2. At least it's helping me lose weight. :)

I want to, but I don't think I'll have the time or money to create one. :(
-
That's awesome! I won't be ready for it either...and the zombies are sold out in my area. Boo :( Oh well maybe next year.
-
My zombies wait till I'm at the bottom of a steep hill to start after me. I should stick to parks and paths I know. >.>

Hello! I'm 34, way overweight, but will get to enjoy my first BlizZcon. I no longer play on World of Warcraft but love other games. Diablo, Civilization V, and Skyrim to name a few. I've just started Zombies, Run! 5K and love it so far. Looking forward to being a shape other than round >.<

Hi all, I just started the app a few weeks ago but am really trying to get into it now that I'm finishing up a semester in school. I have both the full app and the ZR!5K. After mission 1 on the full app (which is the same as the intro in ZR!5K), I decided I needed to get in better shape so today I just finished W1D1. I…

I made it again tonight. I added 2 tsp of chili powder and I liked it much better. The rest of the family added some salsa and shredded cheese, but I like it just the way it is. :)

Easy to cook too! The hardest part is cutting the squash in half to roast. Without the roasting time of the squash (50mins-1hour) it takes me about 15 mins to cook and chop up the other veggies. I love quick and simple recipes! Oh, I leave out the cilantro, never been a fan of that.
