Hello! I am twice your age and just started Zumba about a month ago. If I encourage you, will you hold a remedial class for people like me? Ha. Ha. I totally stink at Zumba, but it is fun, and I figure if I am moving and sweating, it's all good. I hope one day to actually catch on to the moves, but I'm seriously wondering…

Aloha! I am not that large, but recently started Zumba (I totally stink at it.) once/week and Boot Camp once/week. Because I work 2 jobs, this is all I can manage at this time, but I would really like to be going to boot camp 2-3 times/week. In Zumba, there are ladies of all sizes, some rather large. Just go at your own…

Lol! Great answer! And, so true!

51 and I don't feel like a hot chick, but then I could be a skinny minnie and not feel like a hot chick, but I love your attitude! Still working on it, and I guess I need to work on my attitude, too!

Wow, thank you all for the encouraging words! It really keeps me psyched! I feel like my head is in a good place. And, Glamouritz64, I know what you mean about not being mentally ready. Gee, how many times have I been there! HendryL, I understand! I think I put on about 5 lbs!

Wow! What a transformation! You look amazing! Congratulations!! I thought the same thing, "You look younger!" Gee, wonder if that works for those of us over 50! Ha. Ha.

You look amazing!! Congratulations!!!

Thanks, Melissa! You can be my restart twin!

Wow! Wonderful for you! Congratulations!

Wow! Congratulations!! That's very exciting!

I agree with the two ways to go about the buffet. Also, if you've had a good week, and saved a few extra calories everyday, then you can have some of the stuff you wouldn't necessarily eat (for me, it would be dessert!). Just don't go crazy! Of course, weddings and stuff you can't avoid, but I just tell my friends that I…

I can so relate to your post. It doesn't matter what I have in the house, I will find something. Sometimes it's like I want something, but I don't know what I want, so I keep eating different things. I'm hoping that hopping on MFP to chat, rather than eat, will help. Sometimes, I don't eat all my lunch, so I'll snack on…

Congratulations!!! All your hard work has paid off! You look wonderful, and I know you must feel great!

You should be proud! What a difference! Congratulations!

Well, with my first day of logging, it sure makes me think about what I'm eating! Well, since you ask...:) to be honest, I have not figured this out. My sister is the opposite of me and forgets to eat when she stresses, it's a weird thing, all I know is that logging my food every day, even bad days, has helped since I have…

I love walking, too. It's a time to clear my head.

I think it depends on the person. There are times I can't have sweets because I know I will eat the whole thing. I've never understood the meaning of "too sweet" or "too rich." There's no such thing for me. Sometimes, I've eaten sweets until I felt sick, and I know that will happen, but I do it anyway! what you eat has…

I can relate! In my college days, I waitressed at a pizza place. I LOVE pizza, but lost the taste for it, being around it so much! Now, frosting, I don't know. I always thought the only reason for cake was the frosting! I have found that I do better if I keep up with my protein. I really feel better when I have a good…

Yep, when it's miserable at 7am, you know you're in the south! I would love to hear how you deal with stress eating! Or, a friend of mine calls it "emotional eating." I'm worse under stress, but I can eat when I'm happy, too!

I can understand eating the whole package of something! Sometimes, I've been able to keep sweets and eat them in moderation, and other times I can't, so I guess I'm going to have to see. I may not be able to keep anything in the house right now. And yes, I've frozen some things before, but found I could just as easily eat…

I can understand how difficult it is to schedule classes. I have a job where my hours vary. I love being outdoors, too, but not when it's 90 degrees and humid!

Oh, and I'm not a good swimmer, so it might have to be water aerobics, and only if it was an over 50 class!!
-
Well, maybe with the encouragement here, I will be able to!

I've thought about martial arts, but I have a bulging disc in my back that I have to be careful with. I could never spar or do anything too rough.

Thanks! (But most of us over 50 aren't going to be wearing a bikini! ha. ha.) Oh, and you mentioned salt! I love salt, too! quote] Hi there! Im also...kinda new, about a week and a half. I also stress eat, which is how i got to my current weight and loooove sweets! Well i also love salts >_> anywho..! Zumba is so much fun!…
