I just tried the Neutrogena self tanning spray. I really like it, but it was more of a subtle change. It goes a few tones darker the first time. but it was easy to apply and I didn't look orange so it was a win for me. Good Luck!

I have the same problem every time. It's stressful, but grades are super important to me so I consider it a short term compromise.

I do this all the time. I'm home from school for the summer and I don't think I've gone out more than three times because of the way I feel. I just try to tell myself that I shouldn't care what every stranger out there thinks and I that my friends should be supportive and non judgmental. It is really hard though.
