how long until results?

I know I know, I'm only on day 3. I'm impatient.
How long was it until you started seeing results? I know everyone is different, I'm just curious.

It depends what your goals are and where you are right now.
Edit: But it could be weeks, months or years. Don't expect noticeable changes in a week, that doesn't happen (unless you go on some crazy starve yourself diet, you lose water weight, then you gain it all back when you go back to your normal habits)0 -
Stick with it, never give up, it will happen. Enjoy every small success along the way.
Took me 9 months to lose 56 pounds.0 -
Sorry but you'll have to wait until the universe is composed only of photons, neutrinos, electrons and positrons so about 100^100 AD0

I lost 20 pounds it 20 months
I am not helping?0 -

You are going to have to be a lot more patient.....a LOT.0 -
I lost 20 pounds it 20 months
I am not helping?
Yeah but look at your beautiful *kitten* now0 -
I lost in my first week but my average loss is usually 1-2 lb and sometimes nothing to 0.5 lb. Any big losses followed weeks where I gained but were never over 3 lb.0

def going to have to be more patient...everyone is different. but it was close to 20 days until the scale dropped BUT take pics and measurements for sure because sometimes the scale can be discouraging and if you're seeing the dif in measurements and pics, you're more likely to keep at it.0

It took me over a year to lose 50lbs.
It took me two weeks to lose 1.5% body fat.
It depends on how hard you work, and what you are doing. I train/run/work out 6 days a week right now.
For like 5 months, I didn't work out at all.
Some days I still don't feel like I've made any progress, but it took at least 20lbs before I really noticed anything at all.
Good luck!0 -
It's a lifestyle. If/when I hit my goal., I'm still gonna be on here logging my food.
(I've skipped the last week because I've been sick but after that...)0 -
If ur un-fortunate like me..
Workout like a maniac 6days per wk, pushing yourself to the limit and have no real fat loss only muscle gain, Then I say a LONG A-S-S F-U-C-K-I-N TIME!!!
I'm goin on this being MONTH #5 next wk and so far I have only lost 4 pounds and a few inches..
I started at 140 and yea I'm barely 136...Which fluctuates alot.. But no matter what if that happens, just keep goin, thats what I do!
I prob do have to blame some of my slow weight loss on alot of diet mess ups. I hate the word DIET tho...
GOOD LUCK!
O I am slowly eating better now then I have been this entire time...0 -
I joined MFP April 6,2012 I've lost 18lbs so far! I ate no more than 1200 cals the first month + then I have lowered my cals to 900+ and up the protein. I burned 500+ a day through cardio workout and do strength training every other day. I set my first goal for June 17th of 20 lbs and it looks like I will pass that. There has not been one day that I have not done something. Take your time 1-2 lbs per week if you do everything you are supposed to and not cheat yourself. Good luck. Add as a friend if you'd like we can work together. Open up your food diary so people can help you with eating the right foods that will aid in your weight loss.0

Not trying to be rude so plz dont take offense to this ^ but yea um THIS ^
Is exactly what NOT to do! she says she now lowered her calories from 1200 to 900!!!! Are you freakin crazy! Even a Dr. or ne one on here will say DONT EVER EAT LOWER THEN 1200 THATS ACTUALLY THE LOWEST YOU SHOULD BE EATING PERIOD!!!
Yea, she lost the weight, but if there ever comes a day where she eats in the normal range she will more than likely gain all that weight she lost back faster than it took to lose it.. JUST SAYIN ALWAYS BE SAFE WITH HOW U APPROACH UR DIETING...Infact its better if u prob eat around 1400 and up.. I eat around 1800-1900 per day I DONT STARVE and Im losing againkey point is tho eating healthy Im still working on that part TODAY was my best day of eating healthy ever!!!

I busted my *kitten* and I've lost 35lbs in 5 months. I lost 11lbs in the first 3 weeks. I didn't really SEE any difference for about a month, it took about 2 months for people to start commenting about it.0

Thank you guys. I know I'm being super impatient. I'm in the army and I've been at a military academy the past two years where we had PT in the morning, limited chow to three times a day and I was busy 24/7. During the summer breaks I've been at training where I'm out in the field. Now that I have a mostly free summer for the first time and NOTHING to do I shot up and I'm just not used to it lol. Working on being normal though! haha0
