Ok, that is AMAZING! It is funny how similiar our stories are...EVERYTHING minus the children...which adds such a higher level to what you've accomplished after being pregnant and caring for 4 children...WELL DONE! I feel like many teachers are overweight because we focus on helping evryone else besides ourselves. Thanks…

Super high water intake is my advice. Flush the sodium out as quickly as possible. I know I overindulge with salt (I am getting better) and I have to just drink a ton of water or I get that bloated/swollen feeling as well. Good luck! Sounds like overall you have solid eating habits!

Ok, sorry I am not going to read 14 pages of recipes to see if this one was used already...but I LOVE it!!! I also make more than I need and then have left-over tacos for a day or so, then pulled-pork sammies, and THEN pork fried rice. YES!!! I am also posting the salsa that I make with it. Enjoy and thanks everyone for…

ZUMBA!!! Seriously. I started with the DVDs as home (that I got from the library...so NO cost) and then when I felt comfortable with the moves, I started taking the class at my gym. LOVE it and once you are feeling stronger and you get into other things (running, insanity, P90X, weights, etc.) Zumba is still a great way to…

Awesome! I was hoping to do one this year too, but now I am going to Korea....gotta make choices :-) If anyone wants to find a race like this (or any race) in their area, you can go to www.trifind.com and select your state and what month you want to look at. Go team!

Fantastic- congrats! And THANK YOU for posting--seriously. When I feel stuckin a rut these kinds of posts about success totally help. Keep up the great work!

Welcome! People here are (mostly) very supportive! When you exercise, are you able to get your heart rate up, or are you not to that point yet? Take it a step at a time, just keep those steps going in the right direction. Diet is big when you can't exercise off too many calories. I will add you as a friend, but know that…

My three quotes are: (the one on my pic) "You can either be sore tomorrow or sorry. You choose." and a team I coached had this on their team shirts which I LOVED: "We gave all we had today. What we held back we lost forever." Finally, my mantra from this year was "you are never too young, too old, or too busy to make a…

A person with the lack of self-awareness. This really is a catch-all..non-blinker-users, people who stop in the middle of Costco with their big *kitten* shopping carts, people who talk for 90% of an evening out with friends and monopoloze the convo with boring stories, people who don't read their audience, etc. Yep, all…

Congrats, all! And thanks for posting pics of people in mini sizes like us

In. AND doing the jumping jack challenge...it could get ugly :ohwell:
-
In. Thanks!

Bump, thanks for all of the reserach ladies!

RED ROBIN!!!! Are you kidding me? Have to drive by it every single time and it still smells yuuuummmm.

If you go under the "Food and Nutrition" Topic line on the message boards...there a some there. People often post "Help...I need a chicken recipe!" and then like 100 people post awesome ideas. And yes, Cooking Light is a great resource as well.
-
I am also IN! Starting tomorrow. Feel free to friend me or invite me to a group. Let's do this!

Bump! Great ideas, everyone! I just had a salad for lunch, but reading these ideas makes me think I will have one for dinner too :-)
-
WELL DONE to you all! I am totally keeping this thread to help keep me motivated.
-
I love all of these ideas, thanks! As a sidenote for the tzatziki dips, rinse and drain and pat dry the cucumber before you mix it in the dip, otherwise it will release all of its liquid AFTER you mix it into the dip and it causes separation and just looks icky. Cheers to everyone on the 4th!

I am soooo making this tonight! Thanks!
-
I am in! I am so inconsistent....some days I rock at water consumption, and other days I am terrible.
-
There is a "walking the dog" exercise and you can decide your pace. I do it all of the time. Count it! And welcome! Feel free to friend me :-)
-
Welcome back! Feel free to add me as a friend and we can support each other :-)
-
ZUMBA! You can get the DVDs or even check them out from the library (I do that for weeks I know I won't be able to get to the gym). Looks like there are lots of other great ideas here too. Good luck!

I am in! This gets me every time!

How sad. Just another example of someone letting former relationships ruin present ones. If he can't see that these are two different women...that HE is the issue, not them or marriage. I wish her the best, but I would be mortified if my boyfriend said that in front of friends and it is hard to believe if he is that…

YAY!!! Congrats! Keep up the great work!

Welcome and GOOD LUCK!! Mainly try to log on everyday and be honest about what you are eating and how much you are moving. It was helpful for me to get the app on my phone so that I can track food while I am out. Feel free to add me as a friend. You can do this!!!!!
