Hey! You sound like me... I LOVE food and just the interactions you can have with people that always seem centered on food, but that doesn't mean you (we) can't make some changes to help us out. I really have been focusing on trying to eat more veggies and only have a day or two where I allow myself to eat whatever I want…

You guys are all cracking me up. I was on this site forever before sending a FR...and still don't do it that often, but I don't think I have ever denied one. I agree with the "de-friend them if they get weird" comments.

First, congrats on taking the steps to get healthy!! My suggestion would be to return it---I had the same problem...a number of my friends are doing WW, but I decided to use this website and support instead. Since MFP is free (and AWESOME!), I would say try it through here first and if you are not getting the results you…

I am in Tacoma, so probably not within running partner distance, but we should all add each other as friends to stay connected! I noticed a ton of people are on the east coast, so by the time I finish logging my meals/exercise for the day, most east coasters are alseep. Hope you all had a chance to get out there and enjoy…

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my CSA! I share it with two other people (we get a ton of stuff every week, so there is enough for all five of us total) and it really helps me vary my diet and incorporate fresh veggies/fruit. Just make sure that you can handle planning your menus around what you get that week or it may not work for…

Welcome! My fam is from upstate NY...love the east coast. Good luck on your journey!

TOTAL cheat day (one healthy dip won't take away the rest of the calroeis I plan to eat!) but I like to make the following as a dip for chips or as a side salad: Two cans of Black Beans Two cans of sweet corn (in the summer I grill a few ears of corn and use that) One chopped red pepper 1/2 chopped red onion (or to taste)…

I have issues with texture, but I am willing to try anything! Thanks guys!

I have a similiar build and was also stalled, but I think I wasn't eating enough. I bumped up to 1400-1500 a day (on days I get a good workout in at least) and I am starting to see some results again. I wouldn't look for your protein intake in dairy either. Once I cut down on that, I started to feel better as well. Sounds…

12 Angry Men (OMG, kidding...) and this thread is great and makes me want to friend you all!

WELCOME! Just finishing my master's here and teaching and coaching and doing my internship. Yay for multi-tasking girls! Not to mention I totally know what you are saying about sometimes feeling like people around you don't "get" your struggle. Let's all support each other. Add away, new friends
-
Welcome all! The more support and collaboration the merrier! Feel free to friend away! (I didn't for a long time and now I see what I have been missing)
-
Feel free to add me as well! I am heading out to the gym or I would friend you ALL  Strength in numbers!

Ditto about looking for committed people! Everyone feel free to add me as well- we are stronger together

Ditto here and not afraid to say among my favorite stations are my "Heart" station and "Justin Timberlake" I also LOVE that the cardio machines have a TV on them and totally plan my work-outs around hour-long shows that I know will keep my attention.

Crazy timing on this... I was JUST looking into how many calories you burn doing Zumba and so many of my friends LOVE it. Here is my plan: I am checking out the DVDs from the library...that's right....why buy when you can get it for free?! I am going to do the videos for a week or so and get use to the workout and then go…

Just south of Seattle :-) Sounds like not many pacific northwest people here!

Same here...I can't help but weight myself everyday! Slight weight gain will happen from time to time. Bloating from your cycle, water weight, muscle gain, etc. Don't fret! Just keep moving and eat healthy. Best of luck!

Chicken Posole...SOOO good! It is a Mexican-style hominy and chicken based soup that you can personalize it to your liking in terms of adding either tomato or verde based salsa flavors to it and you can spice it up as much as you want. To take it to the next level---after dishing it into bowls, top it with avocado, a bit…

If you have a smrt phone, I would suggest getting the MFP "app" so that you can log in when you are on the go. That has helped me a lot so I don't have to spend the time in the evening. It actually gets addicting once you see some positive results :-) GOOD LUCK!

I am in!

2 of my favorite are: Kale chips: cut half of a bunch of kale into "chip" size and either spread a bit of olive oil on one side or spray with PAM to save even more calories. Lightly sprinkle with kosher salt and bake in the oven at 300 for about 7 minutes. (give or take a few) YUM!!! I also like the tzatziki…

Soooo inspiring it makes me want to cry (and then get back to the gym!) WELL DONE and keep it up! I wish you the best in your surgeries and your future.

I absolutely LOVE Jack in the Box's chicken fajita pita! Well-seasoned chicken, grilled onions and peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, and just enough cheese to taste it on a whole wheat pita. Only 318 calories!!! In fact, now I am craving one :-) More tasty than any chicken sammy I have had anywhere else with less "bun" calories…

Welcome! I too have bounced on and off here a few times, but once you get going and record what you are doing and read others' stories, it is difficult to not stay motivated. Feel free to add me as a friend and we can support each other! A recipe I LOVE to make that I thought of...mainly since I just bought some ground…

Welcome and feel free to add me! Stick with it and find people to work with! Good luck!
