Heidi, I had to laugh at the quote right above your ticker given the subject we are talking about.

Don't jump to too many conclusions too fast. Give him a chance to explain in a very calm setting. There might be a very good reason he had the ring.

Sorry to hear about that, but you are not alone. We went thru this about 10 years ago. We don't have all the answers but I can tell you what we did: 1. Gathered the evidence 2. Found a place & time to talk privately 3. Tried not to lose tempers 4. Took the merchandise & the child back to each store 5. Talked to the manager…

Yup, those revolving doors can be so tricky! :grumble:

Thanks, Anna! After 25 years of marriage, I think I might be barely getting a little bit of the idea . . . maybe.

Welcome, Geder! Nice to meet another guy around here. You'll find some good tools & lots of support here for your journey. I know exactly what you are talking about with the evening munchies. I had that pattern whipped & then have been falling back in the past couple months. Time for me to get back with the program! Best…

From my sister-in-law who was born & raised in Florida . . . she gave me an heated window scraper that plugs into the cigarette lighter. It sounds cool until you live in Michigan for a winter & you see how utterly useless & hilarious the thing is!

Anna, you're awesome!:flowerforyou: Foster parenting is a HUGE gift! I hope get through all of the red tape so you can wrap your heart around some of those kids! We have two foster kids right now. Big challenge. Big rewards!
-
Good for you, Jackie. :flowerforyou: I'm one of those "questioners" too. Lemme know what you think.
-
What a great gift to give those two kids!! How awesome! Way to go! :flowerforyou:

Wow, I'm suprised you have heard of it. It began on the west coast just a couple years ago. Though it has a Christian basis, I think the concept would apply no matter what a person's beliefs were.

Here's what our family has been doing for the past couple of years. www.adventconspiracy.org We are not only downsizing on meals but also on all the STUFF! Has anyone else heard of the Advent Conspiracy?

I wanted to make a guess but I was afraid that if I was wrong . . . SoupNazi might clobber me.  Holy cow! Look at those guns! Way to go!

Mornin', Max. Matter of fact, quite a few years ago I worked in a paper factory. Try to avoid them as much as possible but you still end the day with a new paper cut. What you really want to avoid is the cuts that came from posterboard or card board! :noway: If I recall correctly, $10,000 is right about what I got per…

Hello, Sarah. Welcome! We live on the other side of 131 near Dorr/Wayland.

Welcome from southwest Michigan!

Prayers going up for you, Leslee, and all of yours!

I love their Venetian Apricot Chicken. I have lots of salad with their low fat ( or maybe even fat free) Italian dressing. Give it a whirl & let me know what you think.
-
 Even a dad can appreciate that one!
-
Holy cow! That's amazing!! I'm still looking for my first drive from last week. :ohwell:
-
Too cute! I'd take two . . . but we are almost out of that pet stage.
-
How cool! Your ideas sound great. It's not so much the "where" or the "what" that counts. It's the "who." Whatever is affordable & gives you enjoyment together. If you find some time to connect deeply during the evening, that will be memorable & worthwhile. As for your 10 month old: he is well-loved & will not be damaged…

Pretty hilarious! This year . . . I'l vote for you. :drinker:

Good for you, Hon! Keep that dream alive. You & others like you are soooo needed! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Way to go, Anna!! My wife & I have three daughters (17 to 22) & are foster parents to two teenagers. It was my wife's lifelong dream to do this. She was the motivation to begin with but now I'm fully on board. It is a challenge to be sure but we are loving it. The need is great here in Michigan , as well. We have had to…
