  • Carrot sticks, celery with a dab of peanut butter, water, water, tea, water, coffee ..... HUNGRY HUNGRY (Don't wanna feel like a Hippo!!!!) Usually I just repeat to myself over and over again that feeling thin will taste better than the Emergency Chocolates I keep in my desk at work ... and it definitely works for the over…
  • I think I love you (purely platonically of course not creepy stalkerish) .... yup this! Dark chocolate is the height of Awesomely Wonderful
  • Black and Bitter and lots of it!
  • I really love me my carbs especially fresh bread baked right in my oven containing nothing but Flour, Water, Yeast, Sugar, salt, and butter(or olive oil & spices /herbs depending on if it's pizza night or not) but nothing says healthy option like subway when your other options are McDonalds, a fried food (mostly seafood)…
  • That sounds like me after a few days without my morning coffee. I get the caffeine withdraw symptoms. I would think the alcohol might have something to do with it if you had a problem but if it's easily been cut from your diet I would it could be something else. Has your blood sugar level ever been tested. My hubby has…
  • wow ... you people who really believe this are just sooo wrong. The advertisements have nothing to do with browser history or more than half of mine wouldn't show up.
  • This is so not true. I never look up weight watchers Brownies or Dominoes on my computer or the current ad for "Group Power- Auto Insurance from Met Life" and yet these ads are plastered all over my screen. I don't get HeartBurn and look up TUMS antacids but they are featured to my right. It's just companies buying…
  • I am not vegetarian but my daughter just went through a long stretch of going without meat for a year. She did it to see if she could not because of some spiritual or ideological philosophy. It was particularly irritating to have her pout when she would come home and smell a roast in the oven like I was torturing her. She…
  • I hope you mean 1370 calories per day not per week. I started doing MFP last year and went 6 months doing everything I was supposed to with maybe a handful of cheat days though most of them were days where I was conscious of what I was eating (I have girls nights out sometimes and it would put me over my daily allowance…
  • Where are all you ladies finding a Khol's that carries anything higher than an XL? I'm a XXL and can't find anything at Khol's that will fit. And I refuse to buy anything on-line as sizes change considerably depending on the clothing Brand.
  • Bar scanner? I must have missed something ... what?
  • ummm no... if humans were "born to run" we would be on all fours running like leopards and wolves.
  • I am not cutout for running at all but that partly has to do with osteo arthritis in my hips from an adolescent bone disease and the subsequent surgeries to " correct" the damage/ stop it from progressing. I have run on my treadmill at 4mph for up to 45 minutes but it has to be to very energetic musicals or music videos…
  • Hang in there! I've struggled with my weight my entire life starting at adolescents (bah please forgive my horrid spelling). I have traveled between sizes 8 and 24 up and down like a ladder. I find it helps to think of it as a game tracking calories and trying to exercise off enough to have a treat fairly regularly. I also…
  • If you are so inclined the loaf pan is unnecessary as well. Make it a french style loaf or an old fashioned round. Or go for the gold and make a lighter version of foccacia, even though it's not the same without drenching it in olive oil and parmasan cheese.

  • I bake my own breads but to be honest they are higher in calories than the store bought stuff because they are more dense and not sliced ultra thin on a machine. Plus I can't help but eat half a loaf when it comes out of the oven oh so heavenly soft and warm.

  • From sweet to salty to sweet again in no time flat. Especially warm chocolate chip cookies out of the oven :) or home made bacon cheeseburger pizza ... soooo hungry! (not really but drooling thinking about it) :flowerforyou:
  • I used to work the night shift 6pm to 6am and all this don't eat after such and such and hour always made me laugh. If breakfast is the most important meal of the day then have a hearty one but for those who work nights breakfast is being eaten when the day shifters are eating dinner and lunch is eaten around midnight to 2…
  • It certainly makes quite the first impression. :ohwell:
  • Enntemann's (sp?) crumb topped donuts = 230 calories per doughnut. I stole one of my Husband's on Fathers Day (With his permission of course :blushing:
  • Coffee is a necessity for me. I gave it up for 8 months last year/ start of this year and have fallen back into drinking it. Coffee is my drug. I only stopped because I don't need the pick-me up on the weekends and was having horrible migraines due to the withdraw. Monday afternoons I was better again after my 2nd cup.…

  • There are a few good exercises to do with free weights. Arm Rows, Over head Triceps extensions, Triceps Kick backs, etc. The amount of weights used would depend on your current level. A really simple easy start would be to take a one gallon jug of water and lift it up and down behind your head with your elbow straight…
  • Congratulations! That's totally awesome! Keep up the good work.
  • What Andrew and PU239 Said they are both good answers! Just don't feel discouraged when starting out. Try changing things up in your diet a little add some more fresh unprocessed meals instead of the frozen " Health Foods". I find that most of those frozen foods really aren't that satisfying and are loaded with calories…
  • I like to throw about 2.5 lbs of boneless chicken thighs into the crock pot with 1/4 c. BBQ sauce and 1/8 C. water for 8 hours on low and then remove the chicken from the liquids ... shred... return some of the liquid to the chicken and then add almost 3/4 c. BBQ sauce to the lot divide it into about 8 servings for over…
  • Oh, I thought I saw the cinnamon on the Oatmeal ... yep butter and cinnamon on warm apples does sound pretty darned nummy
  • What did you put the butter spray on the oatmeal? the apples? curious
  • I think most people were still at work when you posted. :ohwell: I found an easy way to start exercising was with a series of Belly Dance Fitness videos. They aren't easy when you start if you haven't done anything in a while but they aren't super hard either... more focus on isolating muscle groups and doing things like…
