How to prevent morning & afternoon hunger

I ensure I eat protein to keep me feeling full between meals but I find at morning and afternoon tea I am hungry.
Any suggestions on some very easy and cheap to prepare snacks? I find fruit sends my sugar intake well over the recommended amount.

    Are you a diabetic? If not, don't worry about the sugar limit here, especially if it's coming from fruit, dairy etc.

    I like nuts and cheese and fruit and chocolate milk and protein shakes as snacks.

    Almonds, yogurt, cheese.
  • Carrot sticks, celery with a dab of peanut butter, water, water, tea, water, coffee ..... HUNGRY HUNGRY (Don't wanna feel like a Hippo!!!!) Usually I just repeat to myself over and over again that feeling thin will taste better than the Emergency Chocolates I keep in my desk at work ... and it definitely works for the over priced vending machine snacks :) But yes alas I find myself hungry A LOT! It's worse if I eat a real breakfast (like eggs or oatmeal) not so much if I just munch veg and drink coffee all morning.
