  • I'm joining too, I need the accountability! My name is Michelle, I had a baby 10 months ago and am almost 20 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight. Now I really need to tone up the flab! 1) Goals for the week: Replace my morning Pepsi with tea 2) Goals for the month: Make my pants a little less snug. 3) Which DVDs: Whatever…
  • I'd just chalk it up to hormones... When I was about 5 weeks pregnant I couldn't stuff my face fast enough - I had to eat at least every 20-30 mins or I'd feel like I was about to starve. Once morning sickness hit the eating tapered off and I actually lost a bit of weight. Try eating more often so you don't get to the…
  • midna16. I don't play many online games, but it's still fun to see what other people are up to. How is Sims 3 for PS3? I'm a Sims fan too. :)
  • Seeing as how No More Trouble Zones could eat Shred lv. 1 for breakfast, I'd say yes, that counts!
  • Ok, the last few days... Wed I bought Six Week Six Pack, so I did that instead of whatever was scheduled. All I can say is Awesome! It felt fantastic, so I think I'm going to add that in to the rest of the Slimdown. If you haven't tried that one yet, it's a good one. Yesterday... no workout. We had a chili soup cook-off at…
  • Well, obviously it targets your core. She keeps you moving from standing abs to exercises on your back to exercises on your stomach to planks so you'll hit every muscle in your core plus a few that you didn't know you had. She throws in things like plank jacks, burpees, and mountain climbers to keep your heart rate up, so…
  • Finished day 8! Shred lv. 2 this morning, and I just made up BFBM tonight. I replaced most of the Shred lv. 1 days with a higher level, because that one is too easy now. I remember when I used to be in pain for days from it. I guess we've all come a long way! :)
  • I think the Quick Zones is about half of the regular workout. She leaves out the repeats on the circuits, and skips the last one completely. I didn't work out on Fri or Sat (shame on me, I didn't even have a good excuse :grumble: ) so I'm going to try and make those two days up. My alarm is set super early for tomorrow,…
  • About to do Day 4! My internet hasn't been working so I haven't been able to check in, but it looks like you're all doing a great job! I had to skip the last circuit of NMTZ last night, I was way too pooped. Once I get rid of the flab, I think my arms are going to look fantastic from that workout. :P Speaking of Shred…
  • Day 1 finished! I was going to tack on a second dvd, but I don't have enough time tonight. I should really learn to be a morning person too, I would get so much more done. Hah! Right. I like sleeping way too much.
  • Heather: Measuring is a good idea, I'll do that tomorrow morning. The downstairs lady probably already hates me for jumping around when I work out, so we can be terrible neighbors together. :P I think on the Shred days I'm going to do a dance workout too, just to throw something fun in there, and yoga on the rest days. I…
  • Tomorrow morning it is. The schedule is about to get taped to my cupboard. Good luck!!
  • I gave this a shot back in October but didn't finish, so now I'm ready to give it another go! What day are you starting on?
  • I would suggest rotating between BFBM and No More Trouble Zones. Both are really good workouts by themselves, but I like using both since they focus on just strength or just cardio. You may want to throw in a day just for yoga or pilates or something like that too, since the 5 minute cool down is nowhere near enough time…
  • I tried rewarding myself based on how many pounds I lose, but even though I'm getting so much stronger and more toned that darn scale refuses to budge. So, instead I'm giving myself a dollar for every "good day" - work out, eat smart, come on here and log everything. Then, I can save my dollars for something fun, throw it…
  • I have a bunch of workouts added to the Instant Queue, I love it because I'm able to mix things up! 10 Minute Solutions: Kickbox Bootcamp is pretty fabulous, she really gives Jillian a run for her money. I also like the Shape workouts, they're good for easier days. Definitely check the instant stuff out if you haven't…
  • I'm a sandwich fiend too... I've discovered that the Arnold's Sandwich Thins are really good in 100% Whole Wheat and also in Multigrain. They're only 100 cals each, and I've been trying to eat tuna with a tiny bit of Miracle Whip and lettuce/spinach instead of processed lunch meat. Satisfies the sandwich urge and keeps me…
  • I used my "off" day to make up one of the BFBM workouts that I missed. I made it through the entire thing, I'm so proud of myself! Before I was ready to pass out by circuit 4. Even though my jeans aren't any looser, I'll take the boosted endurance as a small victory. I do have to say this though: Jillian really needs…
  • Done with level 2! I completely wussed out on NMTZ yesterday, I only did 2 circuits. In my defense though, I had an insane weekend. I drove 2 1/2 hours Thurs night to play a wedding on Fri afternoon (I play the cello), then I had to drive 2 1/2 hours back Fri night, because I had a rehearsal Sat afternoon and concerts on…
  • I have some catching up to do... Oops. :grumble: Starting tomorrow I'll be back on track doing the scheduled workouts, but I have to add a NMTZ, BFBM, and Shred lv 1 in there somewhere. I think I'm going to pick some days to double up. I'm glad I'm not the only one that missed some days, keep up the good work everyone!…
  • Bella - Good luck with the Shred! It's always more fun to do it with someone, and it makes me try harder so I don't end up looking like the wussy one. :P I'm definitely a little nervous for BFBM tomorrow, I've tried it a few times but I've never made it past the 5th circuit. And that's with a lot of cheating. My goal is…
  • Internet has been going in and out, so I haven't really been able to get on here. NMTZ was ROUGH! My arms still feel like they're going to fall off this morning! I'm really looking forward to an easier day today. :P
  • I second the yoga! It feels fantastic when your muscles are sore. If it's nice out, I also like taking a walk.
  • Finished with Day 1! I think Shred level 1 is too easy (which is awesome, it nearly killed me the first time I ever did it), so I'm going to substitute most of the level 1's with Jillian's Yoga Meltdown workouts. That should up the challenge, as well as give me a little more variety.
  • This seems a little frightening, but count me in too! NAME: Michelle AGE: 25 CITY/STATE: Stevens Point, WI CURRENT WEIGHT: 169 NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM: ~1400 calories, lots of water, getting rid of the pop EXERCISE PROGRAM: workout DVDs 5-6 days a week The program will be posted on my fridge as soon as I hit "post". :)
  • Jillian's other DVDs - the Yoga Meltdown workouts are around 30 mins, No More Trouble Zones and Banish Fat Boost Metabolism are longer (45-50 mins) but they give you the option of picking circuits to do. I've also been trying some of the "10 Minute" workouts. They have a bunch of them on Netflix to watch instantly. I did…
  • I usually use circuit training. For Wii Active, I put in whatever the game told me I burned. I know it's probably not very accurate, but I don't have an HRM so it's the best guess I have.
  • Welcome, and good luck! Feel free to post away, you definitely aren't interrupting anyone. :P You'll get lots of great advice and meet lots of great people to help you achieve your goals!
  • This totally looks like my kind of game and it's free (score!), but... we only have a Mac right now. Crap. :( Eventually we're getting a new PC so I will have to keep this one in mind. I have a similar problem with Oblivion. The game's like crack!
  • Sooo... Not sure if anyone checks this anymore, but... Do you folks know of some good offline multiplayer PS3 games? We already have Borderlands and LittleBigPlanet, but my hubby and I are looking for something different that we can play together. Thanks!
