I know a lot of people will set a reward for themselves for when they reach their goal. That way they have something to look forward to (over than meeting their goal of course!!) and a way of treating themselves! I've heard everything from a special outfit (ladies!) to taking a trip somewhere.
I'm not entirely sure what mine is yet but I'm thinking a really knock-out dress for when my husband gets back from Iraq.
Do you have a goal reward in mind? What is it? Please share!

One of my girlfriend's and I are doing our own 10 pound challenge (although she is on this site too) and the date we've assigned to our goal is December 24th. WHEN we both reach our goal we will be going shopping for the afternoon in another city close by. We are both extremely excited!0

Well, I have many mini goals i mind... the 1st is new panties =D If I meet my goal, I will buy some on Thanksgiving... If not...I will laugh at myself for wearing panties THREE sizes too big until I reach my goal!! Needless to say, even something as small as a new pack of underwear makes me happy... (Sorry for the over-sharing!!)
And For one of my other goals--A Vita Mixer!!! I love to make smoothies, protein shakes, & homemade superfood(green shakes)0 -
I'm buying myself an article of clothing on Saturday. I've been pretty consistent with my workouts and eating properly for about the last 2 weeks now, so this will be week 3.
I haven't decided what I want yet. Naturally, there's about 40 things I could easily buy

Two goals for me once i reach my final goal weight.
1) A new leather jacket
2) My first tattoo0 -
My friend and I are rewarding ourselves with a trip to zoo lights after we shed 5 lbs. Small goal, but it'll keep us going! I also suggest a new pair of jeans, a cute work out outfit, getting your nails done, new pair of shoes, new piece of jewelry etc. Good luck!!! I think your idea of a new dress for your hubby knocks any other suggestion out of the water!0

A knock out dress is a great reward!! But seeing your hubby's face will be a priceless reward in itself!! I'm getting myself a pedi as soon as I get under 210 (hopefully next week) and getting my hair done (professionally) when I get under 200!! With all the money I'm saving not getting fast food this should be fairly easy to budget in. It's not like I'm going downtown for a $50 pedi and if I need to there is a Cosmotology school up the street...I'm sure they can do something interesting with my hair! LOL! Good Luck!! Oh and a massage is a good reward too but I already do those regularly...as "career preservation therapy." heehee!!0

Thanks for sharing everyone! These are all great! I thought it would be motivating to read what other people are looking forward to and it definitely is! Here's to goals and blowing them out of the water! Oh and I can completely relate to the underwear and tattoo rewards. Haha!0

When I reach my ultimate goal I'm going on a total shopping spree and using my savings account to pay for it - I refuse to hold back lol. My mom has been getting a massage for every 10 pounds she loses, but I can't afford that. I've been doing one or two new pieces of fitness equipment or clothing for every 5 pounds.
When I first started I had planned on rewarding myself with one meal from McDonald's for every 5 or 10 pounds - luckily I realized exactly how backwards that was, and even more luckily I stopped craving fast food when I finally lost that first 10 pounds, and didn't want to splurge on calories anyways!
I love your dress idea!!0 -
How much weight should you lose before you think you should be rewarded? Go by lbs or %? What are your opinions?0
-
I tried rewarding myself based on how many pounds I lose, but even though I'm getting so much stronger and more toned that darn scale refuses to budge. So, instead I'm giving myself a dollar for every "good day" - work out, eat smart, come on here and log everything. Then, I can save my dollars for something fun, throw it in the savings account for something bigger, whatever I want. It's working for me so far.0

I think it depends on how much you have to lose or what type of rewards you're doing.
I've seen people do every 10lbs.
I'm not doing anything until the end, but once I get closer I might change my mind.0 -
I'm waiting to reward myself at the end too. I'm ALMOST half way there which is very, very, very exciting. And I have more than enough time to complete it before my husband gets home. But little rewards here and there are good too!0
