  • Great I don't want to smoke, which is why I'm glad the government prevents the smokers from doing it everywhere I have to go, like the office, the entrance and exit to the building etc.. Considerate smokers can do what they like, it is a shame the they have to pass a law for the inconsiderate ones
  • Because bad food "Contributes to" unhealthy eating and overweight Cigarettes "Cause" cancer. I remember the stories of Usain Bolt living on McNuggets in Beijing, he is one healthy guy living on an unhealthy diet, but I'm sure he counts his calories in and out
  • What we really need is Urinals in the bathrooms so we don't have this issue but they wouldn't fit in with the decor
  • Well since this is a partner thread and everyone is Man bashing how about..... 1. She always leaves the toilet seat down 2. She can't just take a shower, there are far more processes required for getting up 3. She puts towels/soap/flannels in the bathroom that we are not permitted to use, they are for company 4. She won't…
  • I use Heart rate monitor. I have measured anything between 300 calories and 550 depending on my ability to jog.
  • Eat what you need to stop yourself being hungry rather than over eat, and you could bring cookies in for the kitchen staff and ask them to sneak you an ingredients list? If all else fails, guesstimate heavy on the calories. Over exercising 50 or over eating 50 calories isn't going to hurt. The kicker is the sodium tho :(

  • Bacon is on my middle ground list, it sure as hell isn't healthy, but it isn't bad either IMHO
  • I vote for getting the heart rate monitor. My treadmill calorie counter does not take into account the incline I set it on. I can burn over 2 times the calories on the steep incline vs. the flat, that's a huge level of inaccuracy for the treadmill.
  • We bought some Minute maid Lemonade and mixed it in 5% or so with the water, gives it a new taste. I'm going to mess with other juices. Others will recommend Mio, never tried it though

  • We were so broke when I proposed she didn't get a ring and the wedding rings were a matching set from JC Penney's fro $99.99. For our 5th wedding anniversary I got her a nice jeweled ring to go with the wedding ring and our 10th we bought ourselves new wedding rings that were nicer. Ahhhh, the days of choosing between bus…
  • I agree, 1600 calories via McDonalds is easy and not really helping because it is unhealthy. 1200 by eating a smart sandwich, yoghurts, veggie snacks and a nice evening meal is way better for you. I'm more than happy to kiss off the people that say "Low calorie is bad" in favor of the "Eating healthy is good" ones
  • LMAO Galaxy Chocolate, thats one way to go I guess
  • lol My bad for not searching my own thread you are right. Part of the peeve is that I put up a couple of posts over the last few days that were searched and unanswered and they made it off the front few pages in minutes because of the same reposts If I post another post myself about using the search will I create an Earth…
  • Sounds like you need to find a reason why you want to lose weight, once you figure out a good one, it helps with the motivation

  • Normally yes, but this time I bought $90 sneakers, I never pay more than $40 for them normally, and now I feel I have to go walk/run otherwise I've wasted the money
  • Cube it and stir fry it with any flavors you like or just veg, although I put water in the wok instead of oil. Wrapped in Bacon Take any seasoning packet and put some in a ziplock, put in chicken, coat. If you do it right you don't get much dressing on so you can the flavor without all the salt Shish-kebabs with every…
  • Boil in the saucepan. Refrigerate them till really cold and the shell peels right off.
  • Bump - Everyone is rich?
  • Me too, Ever go to the Mason Dixon Restaurant/Diner in Shrewsbury?
  • Indeed, I'm considering adding the running to the bathroom to my exercise count
  • Saturday I had Bacon, Sunday was Healthy, Monday I had Mcdonalds and today I weighed in 2.9lbs down on the last 7 days. I just eat under my calories, and I exercise till I am pooped on the treadmill and it works for me. And.... the increased exercise is lowering my BP and cholesterol according to my doc so the "healthy"…
  • I sort of tangent, but I had poison ivy and my poison ivy goes nuts when I exercise. I talked to the doctor and the doc stays that the sweat from working out irritates the allergic reaction from the poison ivy. Sounds like maybe a mild allergy that the raised heart rate and cause some irritation?
  • I've tried Pilates and that didn't work with me having all the men's appendages.... never tried Yoga
  • One more bump to see if anyone has an opinion
  • The problem is what he "knows" changes daily depending on the fad
  • Because I can take bacon back to my cell, I mean office
  • Have a big sandwich in front of her, with GB she can't really eat bread anymore, so I'd be making toast till she went crazy :D
  • I was talking to a serious runner/cyclist friend about these and he says the phone is to big and a pain to operate as a HRM. He keeps his phone in his back pocket for emergencies but says it would be useless to look at while exercising. Despite liking shiny toys I had to agree and stick with the Polar.
