Agreed! I was discussing yesterday after school that I eat way more calories now than ever before, love every minute of it, and have steadily lost about a lb a week since my initial water loss. I am going to just keep doing what I do... hopefully people will see the positives and we can have a discussion about it. I'm…

Funny: I did and told them that my results were all within normal range. They just kind of stare at you! :D I understand why... they don't believe what I believe/haven't read up on it. Going to write that book on my list!

Thanks! I think I am going to create a virtual plethora of links people can watch/read when they ask! Then I can email it!

Seriously!? Ugggh! Low fat is so high carb. I know, I've done it. I can see how they all think that the steak is bad for you - we've been told it over and over again.. Bacon explosion! I must look this up!

Come to my house!! I want that!! :)
-
I have made it a point to eliminate processed food as much as possible. That stuff is nasty!
-
Oh yeah! I have had this combo and anything with the whipping cream is amazing!!

And mind is even different from the person above. I was closer to "normal" and I have lost 8 since low carbing - and I am about 10 more to be really happy. Anyway, expect 1 lb a week loss low carbing... but what makes my low carbing different than the person above - I eat MORE calories on low carb than I did when I counted…

We just bought the almond oolong. Basically anything almond from them is good!

I remember starting LC and I was so out of whack.. I realized that I need to eat about 3000 units of sodium a day to feel ok. Isn't that nuts? Sometimes friends make comments about the amount of sodium I eat, but then I tell them that sometimes my sweat stops tasting salty and I start to black out... Then again, I sweat…

I am glad you went! When I started low carb, after 1 month, I went to get all my stuff checked, too. It was AWESOME... clean bill of health! I hope you start feeling wonderful again! :)

That all seems 100% normal to me! :)

Nooooo! I buy tea from adagio.com (they also have a store near me) and I brew it in their ingenuitea pot - whole leaf! There are SO many varieties! I usually hate mint, but we just got a new tea that is AMAZING! Casablanca twist. If you're using teabags of ****ty tea, STOP! It can taste so much better.... I'd even send you…

I realize that you get fuller easier on low carb, but I am really not a fan of eating under 1200. I actually have NO IDEA how people do that without hunger. I can't - even if I eat sausages all day. :) But I can understand how full low carb makes you feel, too. I would push to eat the 1200. Although, some days I know I can…

Saving this for later!

You and me both!!

Haha - we are so different! I would barf if I ate anything sweet for breakfast. (It's hard to even read that since right now it's 6:40 AM... haha!) I have what you just described as something sweet after dinner.

THIS! I used to eat a ton of fiber before going low carb... thinking it would keep me full. Once going low carb, I realized eating some meat or fat in the morning keeps me fuller way, way longer. So now I eat whatever I want for breakfast. An ounce of pecans... some coconut oil... sometimes lunchmeat.... leftover chicken…

Mine lasted about 3 weeks... it was horrible. But you're right - it went away.... once I increased my fiber and my carbs by about 10. Now I feel awesome! I do not have more energy than when I ate carbs tho - many people say they do. I have less for sure. But not so little that it's a big deal. I'm guessing some of the…

I would think that you would lose lean body mass by eating a high protein and lower fat and lower carb diet. Or by not working out as much due to fatigue?
-
Yup - Read it when you suggested it before! :) Passed it on, too.
-
I'm the opposite... I can't seem to eat under a certain amount of cals even when very low carb. haha! Also, I am a high school math teacher and so therefore your user name is AWESOME!
-
You know since I bought the almond butter and even though I can't make these yet b/c of the coconut... I have been eating almond butter each day since :) YUM!
-
Ooo! Will take note of that book!
-
Easy... I just started taking fish oil and try to work fish into my diet more, too! I have had less pain in my shoulders and neck, too! I love it!

Wonder if I can use this ratio: http://thehungryartist.wordpress.com/2012/05/31/nut-butter-truffles-and-chia-seed-granola/ to somehow just mix almond butter, sweetener, and ground flax? Maybe roll them in regular flaxseed? or roasted chia seeds? Hmm
