  • Hi guys! Realistically, 15 to lose. Did keto back in 2013, made goal, fell off wagon. Back to square 1. Not much has changed w the diet but I am stoked more people do it now. I never felt better than I did with keto. It was a miracle!! And I'm not even diabetic ... My fasting glucose was always in the 90s. So anyway, I'm…
  • Usually if you have a cup ir two of broth this clears up.... At least it does for me. :( I usually take a few slow mag to help. It's usually an electrolyte inbalance.
  • Not gonna lie... no idea how you eat that little and you are not hungry. Once in awhile I am like that... but usually I have to eat 1200 or I am ravenous the next day. Dang!
  • This is totally happening this week! Thank you!
  • I used to be on keto and fell off the wagon. I would love supportive friends again!
  • Yeah, I am an addict, too... So I no longer buy it. I make it a goal treat now, because Lord knows I polish off the whole dang container in two days! :D
  • Trying this soon... but with almond butter! Yum!
  • I need to try this, too!! Thank you!!
  • Um, I need to try this. SOUNDS SO GOOD!
  • That's so interesting because my anxiety seemed to diminish to nothing when I eat keto - and I sleep deeper and need less sleep, too. I know it effects everyone differently... So interesting!
  • You guys are AWESOME!! Thank you SO much!
  • Full Fat Greek Yogurt - 4 oz PB2 - 1 T (half a serving) Splash of vanilla extract Sweetener - I use stevia drops Oh my. My favorite dessert right now... other than mixing that with raw cocoa and espresso powder :)
  • I think that if you're really heavy on the cardio, you may see that you get fatigued, but I am no doctor. Anyway, I would say it's your body - if you feel you need the extra carbs before working out and it keeps you in ketosis and you lose weight and it works for you - do it! I used to eat sweet potato once in awhile…
  • made it a week or so ago... I need to really blend the stuff better because it was a little dry or what not. HOWEVER you know what made it even better? Making your own heavy whipped cream and let it be a bit runny and then put it on there.... OH MY! So good!
  • THAT is an amazing deal! Thank you for sharing! The cheapest I can find the strips is $2 each. I;d be interested in anyone that is going to be testing. I will have mine on my profile once I get started!
  • Are those blood strips or glucose ones? Mine came with glucose ones...
  • Not strange to me!! Way to go!
  • Precision xtra on amazon, strips from a Canadian pharmacy (jimmy has a link I think)! I am patiently waiting...
  • Already bought my blood ketone reader and strips! Let the testing begin!
  • OH MY GOSH. This is SO GOOD. I altered the recipe from this: http://veggiewonder.blogspot.com/2012/01/easy-mocha-pudding.html 4 oz FULL FAT greek yogurt 1 T unsweetened cocoa powder 8 drops of stevia 1/4 (or less actually) of vanilla extract 1 t of espresso powder. Whip it up - 5 net carbs and it is UNREAL how good it…
  • Micro Cheesecake! http://yourlighterside.com/minute-microwave-cheesecake/ Not the greatest consistency, but I am going to try and use a mixing machine next time. Also, the serving size is HUGE - so you can cut back about 1/4 and still be happy. I also enjoyed whipped cream (made by me) on the runny side on it because it…
  • Fluffy - those are ketone sticks. We're talking about measuring blood ketones. They're like $2 a strip. I didn't end up doing it... but I will if i eventually stall. I wish things were cheaper here. Jealous of Australia! PS: I had a big LC question that has never been answered and I emailed Jimmy Moore about it and he…
  • Funny - I had serious heartburn constantly when working out... Went low-carb... and it went away. Ate carbs... it came back. I am with you on that one. Not sure what to tell you about sodium. If I forget to eat 5000 mg a day, I get really bad leg cramps, headaches and I get really run down. But I am not salt sensitive.…
  • THANK YOU. If I eat 2000 calories with carbs, I bloat up and gain weight. if I eat 2000 calories with low carbs, I gain nothing (maybe some muscle at the gym!) and maintain or lose weight. I've read far too much and know that calories in and out does not apply to everyone. Note: Everyone is different and your level of…
  • Have you been following Jimmy Moore's n=1 experiment? He basically cut out most of his protein because his body is so sensitive to it. I don't think that everyone is the same... but there are people who, when even eating moderate protein, will not be at the ketosis level that is good for losing weight. Here is a link to a…
  • Jay, I agree. All of that looks good - but I know my fat is much higher than that. Actually, the more I read about how protein can turn to sugar in your body if you over-consume it, the more apt I am to eat fat over protein. I get in about 100 g protein a day, the rest goes to fat. And Jay is right - eat when you're hungry…
  • Adding Cardamom has been my big thing that makes them super yummy to me! haven't done savory.... but that grilled cheese is making me think I want to!!
  • My husband made these for me: http://jadorecouturestore.blogspot.com/2012/04/low-carb-low-calorie-pumpkin-bars-w.html A couple of things: *It was very moist. I would probably add chia seed to some of this to soak up the moist. It was slightly more moist than a pumpkin pie. *For the cream cheese frosting, I told him to cut…
  • I don't think i would IF everyday... but I think that there are some days it might be beneficial. I am already tired of people telling me it will kill my body ... SERIOUSLY!? fasting 16 hours will kill my body? That sounds so incredibly dumb. Now, fasting for days - yes. 16 hours?! Get real.
  • Interesting, so in the end, IF wasn't the best thing for you, correct?
