Wetherspoons print all the calories on their menus and have some good choices there, reasonably priced too.

spicy parsnip or butter nut squash or roasted carrot and parsnip...... i could go on. Mostly i roast some veg in the oven with a dab of olive oil and then blend them either with just hot water or stock, throw in a few herbs or spices or curry powder and bobs your uncle! edited for typos!

I just try to make sure my net is above 1200 rather than eating it all back.

Not sure if you are recording everything but even if you aren't, it's clear you have a bit of an addiction to biscuits! Maybe you should go cold turkey on the biscuits for a while and still to 3 square meals with healthy snacks such as dried fruit, seeds, some nuts etc.... I know its easier said than done but it depends…

This/\ I feel like we are going backwards at the moment with regards to attitudes to women.

Quoting from the diet page on the website linked "By some unspecified magical force, the combination of the suggested foods included in this plan is supposed to create a unique metabolic reaction and boost fat burning." Ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaa     Think I will stick to eating well and exercising,…

rinse well, cover with a fair amount of water, bring to the boil and simmer for about 10-15 mins. We had some this evening with butternut squash and leeks plus lots of garlic! Scattered some toasted cashew nuts over the top and a relatively quick, tasty and nutritious meal.

Bumping, still quite a way off my goal but want to see what people have to say.

"Your body is the baggage you must carry through life. The more excess the baggage, the shorter the trip." Also, get yourself a board going on pinterest for motivational sayings, clothes you would like to wear, goals you would like to achieve etc... it works well for me! http://pinterest.com/woodlandgifts/motivation/

I love Yoga and think it is a great addition to any fitness regime. It is sooooo relaxing and feels so nice to stretch out those muscles. I do some yoga stretches after circuit training and also a class on its own. I started when I was well over 200 lbs and noticed a difference in my flexibility straight away. Edited to…

Autumn and Halloween are my favourite times of year but we don't do Halloween big in the UK unfortunately. My kids love it but not many others share our enthusiasm :(

http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2009/12/09/beginner-body-weight-workout-burn-fat-build-muscle/ I currently do this every other day (mostly!) then try to fit in walking or cycling on the off day. Seemed to be working until the school hols have got in the way (in a good way of course)

Mine was when I was about 7 months pregnant and saw people I hadn't seen for a while ad I could tell they weren't sure if I was pregnant or just fatter! I had to work at a different office and mentioned it to a few people and I could tell by their reactions that they weren't sure!

Yes please, bought some quinoa a while ago and yet to try it out.

Try the nerd fitness website for his body weight workouts, they just use what you have at home, and weights if you have them. I do the beginner circuit every other day and I really feel it.

oooh, just the top 5? Some of my faves in no particular order (but there are probably lots more I would have to add if it were Desert Island Discs); Vagabond Lullabies - Po' Girl Chinatown - The Be Good Tanyas Promised Land - Dar Williams Trouble - Ray LaMontagne Bare Bones - Madeleine Peyroux

I haven't been ill for ages and am wondering if upping my cals for a few days might help me get over the bug? Not sure if it is scientific but if I am eating below my needs, will my body have enough reserves to fight off bugs etc? Just seems to be lingering when I usually snap out of things quickly.

I wish it was promoted more but then there are no big companies who are going to profit from it. I stay away from all of the expensive skin care ranges, I feel that they are a waste of money. The oil cleansing method works great and some of the big companies are jumping on the bandwagon and now marketing their own products…
-
My skin always looks and feels great when I use the oil cleansing method, sounds counter productive but it really works, i just use a mixed of regular olive oil and castor oil (dirt cheap from the local chemist / pharmacy) More info here: http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com/

Are you in the UK? Aldi and lidl for cheap fruit and veg, also staples like dried fruits, nuts and some seeds (the seeds are mostly sold in mixed packs though) Consider a costco card for meat, their meat is really good quality so a little goes a long way. You would have to balance out whether the cost of membership was…

"you do have to bag your own stuff" - Do you have people who do that for you where you live? We always bag our stuff here in the UK unless there are brownies or scouts collecting for charity. I am a bit OCD with bagging my shopping too, don't think I could hand over the responsibility to someone else! ha ha
-
thanks, I do pick up a fair amount at lidl and aldi but again, the ranges are fairly limited. They are def the cheapest for staples like almonds and walnuts etc....

I know how easy it is for your motivation level to vanish overnight when you have a setback, good that you are back on track now though! I find that my motivation increases the longer I stick at things so hopefully it will come back ten fold in time! Those carbs are so tasty too, bread is one of my huge weaknesses. I often…
