Joined a running club two weeks ago and ran 6K in 43 minutes and am still alive.

Thanks for sharing, I find that very interesting. Whenever I don't eat enough I def. don't lose, and now that I am eating at TDEE - 20% I am losing again, pretty soon I may have lost enough that it will show on my progress ticker again...

1 tsp of cacao powder is 20 cals and has no sugar

I found it helpful to stick to a routine. I tend to eat a lot of the same things, quark for breakfast with a fruit, pb and fruit and a protein shake (make from a whey kind of protein bought at a regular store like GNC), for lunch, and tuna and vegs for dinner, fruit for snacks or greek joghurt. I tend not to buy cookies,…

It's fun, I get the banana and the Schnauzer heads to the kitchen and sits patiently and waits for me to put pieces in his bowl.

Bananas have potassium (good for B/P) and Vit B6. And Schauzers love them. Edited to mention I am no Dr.

I need to recapitulate my TDEE with the running, some weeks I can go once (to the running class) and other weeks 2x, due to my work schedule. I have Haybales worksheet, so I will re-do it with the running. I need to figure out how many calories I burn doing that, since I go at a a snails pace at the moment. I am getting a…

My diary is open if anyone has suggestions for improvement, that be great.

I agree, but I can eat 1200 calories a day, days on end and nothing happens...so I hope increasing my exercise will do something. I weigh my food with a food scale. But my calorie expenditures are estimates, I may buy a calorie counting Garmin or something like that.

Thanks for the encouragement! And hares are a better shape than a turtle too...so I hope for change!! :flowerforyou:

That won't be a problem. I am moving at turtle speed. And there is a trainer that has running class so that will help I hope. I did get some good shoes, but other than that I am clueless!

I am really glad to read your success story and congrats with the pay off from all your hard work. I started doing the TDEE - 20% 3 weeks ago and had initial good success now I bounced back up a little. But am going to keep going. I am encouraged by your story

I have been on MFP for a while now. I was doing TDEE-20% last year and doing well, then I had a big upset in my personal life and ended up moving back to Europe after 20+ yrs in the States. I gained weight and once I was calmer, I began tacking my food again and was eating 1200 calories and losing nothing. So I re-entered…
