I fell off the track too and have gained quite a bit back. Now I'm trying to start over again. Feel free to add me.

My family noticed after 10 pounds. Sadly, many of them are more obsessed about my weight than I am. My neighbor noticed around 15 pounds. She had seen me jogging up and down the neighborhood, so she knew I was trying to get in shape. My friends didn't really start saying anything until 25-30 pounds. They might have noticed…

Congratulations! I remember being so happy when I was overweight too. ;) 33 pounds is no small thing at all. That takes a lot of dedication and work to achieve. Also, completing the 30 Day Shred and C25k is also monumental.

It's not the end of the world if you have a bad day. Just pick yourself up and resume your journey the next day.

Donate the clothes. My theory is that if I gain the weight back eventually I'll want new clothes anyway because my old ones will be out of style.

I like shopping for clothes, so that doesn't suck. But the lighter wallet does suck. ;) Getting sick. I've had more colds this year than normal. I think losing weight might be stressing my body out a little.

That's an awesome accomplishment! And are you in a boat? I'm jealous!!!

Try not to make foods you like totally off-limits, and try to eat/drink everything in moderation. If I know I can eat it, then I won't feel like I have to eat a lot of it.

Purple cauliflower or carrots. Blue potatoes.

Tom Yum soup of course. Green papaya salad is going to be naturally low in calories. Waterfall beef salad probably wouldn't be too bad either. The water-based curries shouldn't be too bad, especially if you pick a lean protein. Just avoid the massamun curry. Triple whammy of coconut milk, peanut butter, and potatoes along…

Marks & Spencer Gold Blend Tea. Nice and strong with no sugar or milk.

You are truly inspiring. I like how your smile gets bigger as the pictures progress. :D

Too much. If it weren't for the indoor pool, I'd drop it and stick to my work's gym. In fact, I might do that anyway.

53 lbs is really awesome and a testament to the hard work you've been putting in! You should be very proud of yourself!

I was definitely an awkward nerd in school, though I suppose geek is the label most would apply to me as an adult. I know I've read at least one or two articles at Nerd Fitness before (Walking to Mordor springs to mind), but didn't realize it was a community site until a month ago or so. I recently joined the rebellion as…

That's really good! You do have the right mindset about it, which is to create an everlasting change and build up good habits. Competitions with an end date set up the wrong kind of attitude and will likely lead to quite a few of your workers gaining it back when they stop 'competing'.

No weight listed on a Texas driver's license. I think I'd be honest about it though (and get a free smile out of it as the number gets more and more incorrect).

Mine is totally dictated by the government. My general goal weight is the weight that puts me back into the Normal range (135) on the BMI chart. My ultimate goal weight is about 10 under that, which would put me at a good body fat percentage.

I continue to buy them. I eat just the serving size and the box lasts a long time. In fact, I still have a roll of thin mints from last year in my freezer (granted, I think they got buried under the frozen veggies and I forgot about them). It's all about moderation and exerting some self control.
-
I'll forget every now and then to log the really low-calorie veggies like cucumbers, and iceberg lettuce. I could definitely stand to eat more veggies and fruits though.

Beer isn't *that* bad in moderation. The higher the ABV, the higher the calorie count. So, a typical 4.5-5% ABV beer is about 150-200 calories for 12 oz. There's some charts online that provide a rough estimate. There will be a little guesstimation involved since no microbreweries provide calorie counts and some beers are…

I'm not sure where you came up with that 2 cups ratio. Drinking tea and coffee does not create a net loss. That's a long-standing myth. Here's two out of many articles that dispute it: http://www.nhs.uk/news/2011/03March/Pages/tea-compared-to-water-for-hydration.aspx http://www.snopes.com/medical/myths/8glasses.asp

Nope. I drink my tea and coffee black, and I consider the calories in them to be too negligible to track. I don't do diet soft drinks. I know I'm well-hydrated, so I don't bother with the water counter.

If you read the article, you'll see the reasoning behind each listed food, which does looks quite random as a whole without context. Several of these listed foods make sense.

I still like my organic popcorn and won't stop eating it. I do refuse to eat microwave popcorn though because of the chemicals. It is soooo easy to make popcorn on the stove.

Yup! I've gone from being between an 8 and 8.5 to a solid 8. I have a pair of dressy heels that I'd only worn once or twice in the past, and they were way too loose when I wore them for an event recently.
-
I wear a high impact bra from Anita. It has supported me very well when jogging.
-
Right as I get off work. I'm hungry and I'm in a car, so that's when I start thinking about what I could retrieve for dinner (as opposed to cooking something from scratch). Late night snacking I can usually curb just by grabbing a cup of tea.

Yup, I've lost fat from my chest just as I've lost it from everywhere else. I've gone from a 36G at my largest to a 34F currently after 30 pounds lost, and my current bra is starting to look a little big in the cups. I'm kinda hoping to go down to a D cup so I won't be limited to specialty lingerie stores anymore.
