I think that it's a good start! Exercise 3 times a week with a healthy balanced diet should get you to your goal. But if you feel like you can do more, go for it! Also, if you are new to running you could maybe think about doing C25K to help ease you into it. :)

Hey I'm Sammie & I'm 20. I'm from South East London but currently living in Sheffield for uni. I've been here for a while now & my aim is to lose around 20ish more lbs, hopefully by my 21st birthday in August! :)

Hey! I absolutely love working out and get in the gym 3-4 times a week, sometimes 5. I just need to get my nutrition in check to get the best results. I'd like to lose around 20ish lbs more. Feel free to add me :)

Happy birthday! I would take a free day. :)

I'm 20, feel free to add me :)

If you would have asked me if I could get up extra early to get in a work out, I would have laughed... But what with uni commitments getting a workout in the morning is vital and makes me feel accomplished before I've even really got the day started! About the lack of energy, waking up early and having a decent breakfast…

I over indulged... A LOT. Just as many of my MFP friends did so you're not alone! I logged it all and plan to get right on track after New Years :)

I'd like a copy too please :)

I'm lucky in the sense that BC hasn't made me gain weight. Sure, it increases my appetite around a week before I'm due to have the pill free week but that's what happened when I wasn't on it anyway. Anyway, back to you. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about changing BC until you find one that suits you? Also, 800…

You look amazing! :)

Hi Ruby! Congratulations on the 7lb loss so far that's incredible! (Half a stone!) I'll send you a friends request now :) xo

I personally wouldn't do it. Why not eat sensibly for all 3 meals and stick to the correct amount of calories? There is no permanent quick fix. Plus, Special K is full of sugar (from what I remember.)

All I can say right now is: wow!

Hey I'm 20 and about to go into my first year of university studying psychology and sociology. Feel free to add me as a friend :)

You need to eat more if you exercise because you're taking those calories away from your body which it needs to function. So if you're set at 1500 calories and burn 600 you'd be left with 900 calories net and that's not going to do your body any good long term. At least that's the way I've got my head around the why you…

I don't track my sugar intake because I'm a massive fruit fan (and have a major sweet tooth at times, eeek.) I track sodium instead. :)

I always log my higher calorie days and then look at my calorie intake over the week instead of each day. It's best to log everything so if you do gain you can look back and know why. All my MFP friends are very supportive so I don't feel like I need to hide what I eat. :)

I'm 20 and I'm about to start my first year at uni in September. Feel free to add me :)

I'm pretty sure there are some protein powders that are suitable for vegans. Maybe look into that? xo
-
Um wow... :noway:

Maybe take a notebook or something to write what you eat down so then if you do gain a little you can look back and see why. It's good you're planning on exercising but it's meant to be a holiday so remember to have time to relax too :) xo

I went on holiday to Spain with my mum in July which was all inclusive and only gained 1lb. I indulged a little bit but logged what I ate and drank. We walked a lot. Personally I say eat as healthily as you can but don't be afraid to treat yourself, it's a holiday after all! xo

I'm 19, 5ft 6 and currently 142 lbs ultimately looking to get down to 125ish lbs. Feel free to add me for support. :)

Today I made mine with unsweetened almond milk and topped it with natural peanut butter, reduced sugar strawberry jam, raspberries and strawberries. :)

Tips: don't think of it as a diet, have things in moderation if you want them. Make sure that you're eating enough (this site may help you: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/) and start exercising - maybe find a class or two that you enjoy to begin with or youtube videos can work! Also, don't expect the scales…

I'm 19, 20 in August.

If it helps, I start to drip with sweat literally 5/10 minutes into any class I do. As others have said they were probably once where you are at the moment. Honestly, whenever I see a bigger person exercising I feel proud of them. Also, the others in your class are probably struggling too but all you're seeing is that they…

I'd have a big slice of cake and enjoy it. In fact, for my birthday I did just that (probably had more than one slice to be honest) and didn't gain because it was just one day which I logged and then got back into exercise and eating better the next day...

I'd say try out some classes if that comes in with your gym membership. I enjoy Zumba, Fab Abs class and Complete Conditioning along with going to the actual gym. Personally I use the treadmill, cross trainer, bike and rowing machine at the gym. It's a case of trying out the machines and finding those that you enjoy the…

I'm 5 ft 6 and I've set my goal as 130 lbs (currently 142.8 lbs) but I think that I'll probably ultimately go down to 125-120 lbs because I have a small frame. Just going to see how I feel when I get there. :)
