I did it years ago, lost a great amount of weight and then wanted to change to eating a healthy range of everything... I gained all that weight back plus some. I guess my take on any kind of fad diet is: It will work for the time being and a little while longer, but it's not a long term thing. Long term, is eating healthy…

I weigh in daily... I like to know how my body fluctuates with what I eat. It's healthy to weigh in when you feel comfortable. If it becomes an obsession then there's a problem. Yes, stay positive. Negative energy is just as bad as eating an entire back of chips. Certainly take your measurements, and keep in mind that your…

What a great way to make yourself more accountable. Just remember that you're making life style changes, and they take time and patience. It is eay to feel frustrated. So, keep doing your best at eating right and exercising... this is for you and you alone, so be proud and accepting of every step you take in the direction…

This is fantastic! *High Five* Fabulous motivation for days to come!

This is incredible!!! Way to go :)

This topic is rather interesting. Not to sound rude, but you don't want us to bash your family. Okay, though it seems like you did a good job of that yourself. Love your family unconditionally, unfortunately we can't change them, but you can supply loads of support, and if they just won't listen to your wanting them to…

Welcome to MFP, and well wishes to you on your journey. MFP in my mind is certainly easier to use than many other sites, and it's free!!!!

I think a lot depends on body structure. For some 115 is the low end of healthy. For other's 125 is the low end. I would just suggest to be concerned, but not judgemental. We are all here for a reason. And we all should provide positive support.

You are capalbe of losing 20 pounds a month. But I do strongly suggest that you do it healthy, be patient and again be healthy. I lose about 20 pounds a month sometimes closer to 15 and sometimes 25... it all depends on how hard I push the cardio and for how long. Well wishes to you on your journey!

What we are all on is a life style change for better health. And with that we need to have patience and be consistent. Our bodies are taking their time to adjust. You will see lots of fluctuation through out your weeks, it's the normal part of our bodies working hard. They digest foods, retain fluids, build muscles... and…

You certainly can! I have a friend who is on a site with a tread just like this, I'll ask him where and message you the link. He's lost an incredible amount of weight! Push yourself as far as you feel comfortable. Don't let diabetes take over your world! I see that it's not, so it probably is better to say Keep Moving!!!…

This is really great! After getting through that first barrier there's no stopping you now!

I actaully really like almond milk. One of my boys is Autistc and he's on a wheat free, gluten free, casein free diet. Almost milk was one of our first tries! LOVE IT!!!!

Yes, I have this too. I do mini spurts. Push outside your comfort zone a little at a time. I'd really say, just exercise where you r comfortable for 1 or 2 weeks. Make a plan... say next week you add a little intensity. Really plan it out well and know so you can be ready for it. Talk to yourself about it every day until…

Prepping stuff in advance really helps a lot. You could prep: -calzone -quesadilla -pita pockets -humus and Naan -soups -chilis -make your own salad -chiciken salad with cranberries and walnuts with some crackers instead of bread -veggies and dip -yougurt with dried fruit -Any leftover -mac n cheese -chicken marsala…

Absolutely anything that gets your heart rate up to your target heart rate and go for 30 to 90 minutes. Could be running, or walking at an incline, stair stepper, row machine.. really endless ideas.

You said it yourself. If you're prepping for an outdoor 5K, then you should be running outside. Running on the treadmill is easier on your body than running outside. Outside, the ground is more uneven and it's not moving under your feet for you... Well wishes to you btw! Running 5K in my mind is no easy task...…

Think of it like this. If you're questioning it's health, chances are it's not good for you. Calorie free foods are laden with chemicals- which over time can cause cancer and bad health. Be safe, eat natural... all foods SHOULD have calories :)
