i asked my nutritionist/nurse educator about this & she told me that as a type 1 we are more susceptible to dehydration & though she wasn't sure why we sweat more, it may just be a part of being diabetic. i deff seem to sweat more than others while working out too. drink lots ♥

i drink between 8-16 a day usually. depends how hot it is out, if & how intense my workout is, & if i have anything besides water to drink that day ♥ try to never get less than 8 cups.

i have my macros set to 40% carbs 30% protein & 30% fat :o) & that gives me approx 100g protein a day & i also aim for over 20g of fiber ♥

i add protein through lean meats :o) ex: a can of tuna in water is 90 cals & 26g protein, turkey breast is 60 cals & 13g protein ♥ decrease your carbs to increase your protein so you're not going over in calories.

i save myself cals for the night if i think i'll be awake & wanting something. try high fiber & protein snacks before bed, so you go to sleep with something in your stomach & you're not wanting to go eat more. ♥
