I actually found a great oatmeal & blueberry overnight oats recipe this week! It might be something to try once you're making your own food choices again. I especially liked the trick of heating the blueberries before adding them to the oatmeal, it definitely improved my blueberries and oatmeal experience.…

Good morning! I'm having 2 eggs + 4 (!) slices of bacon for breakfast which is super indulgent and exciting. I'm going to the movies this afternoon so I'm packing skinny pop, 16 chocolate covered pretzels and some watermelon to keep my movie snacking on point. That leaves me with 500 calories to mess around with for…

1/2 of a sun-dried tomato bagel 3 slices of deli ham 1 egg, microwaved for 30 seconds The egg ended up only covering half of my half a bagel, so I only ate a quarter of the bagel. There was supposed to be some cheese on this open faced breakfast sandwich, but loving SO forgot it on his grocery quest this weekend.

Tan is for a few things- I'm probably getting engaged the weekend after the wedding and then my birthday is the following Wednesday. So while I don't necessarily want to be tan for the following few days, I really don't want to have tan splotches as the spray tan fades off. I'm pretty set on giving Jergens a try before…

Yea, my doctor hasn't said anything about vitamin D deficiency, but my co-workers make a big deal out of it and insist I have it due to my paleness. I'm outside a lot, but usually layered up because it's windy or rainy. I've been doing a lot better about getting outside since I'm home with my brother on the weekends and…

I'm pretty sure I'm just hating my ghost/picket fence white-ness because I'm seeing my sister (who lives in South Carolina) every weekend and she's got a great tan just from being outdoors all the time. I've been outside probably 8 hours every weekend for the last month, but I'm still in jeans and a sweatshirt, so the tan…

I did this in high school for prom and, while my legs & arms looked great, I needed my sisters to get my back well (open backed dress) and I had weird tan marks on my upper legs/stomach where no one was seeing at the time. Now I'm living with my soon to be fiancee (!) and I definitely don't want any weird orange marks…

I'm usually all about cooking meals, but the last month life has gotten hectic and I've been trying out different alternatives to cooking myself. One thing I've found is the steamfresh bags of frozen veggies. I pop them in the microwave for five minutes while I'm getting ready in the morning, then reheat them at work for…

anddddddddddddd this is why I go to an all female gym.

I try to stick between 1200-1500 a day and then eat back exercise calories if I'm still hungry or use them on other days (within 3 days of working out, usually) that I want more snacks. Seems to be working so far. :)

Last night I attempted to make hard boiled eggs to eat for lunch the rest of the week... but they turned out to be soft boiled eggs when I cracked one this morning. I think I'm going to make it into egg salad (mash egg with mustard) instead of just taking eggs for lunch.

FICTION. I saw a stand advertising it at a local cranberry festival in the fall and thought that was strange, so I looked it up. Sorry to burst your bubble. I found a study about it back in October when I first saw it but idk if I could find it again.

And you seriously think the solution is to take an even higher concentration of hormones 5x in a month?! You don't need a script to get condoms. Honestly.

I've lost 18 pounds and my boyfriend hasn't noticed haha. We've been together 4 years, and I put on 50 pounds in that time. 32 more to go until I'm the weight he met me at :)

Try this website: http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc I don't think lifting is the best way to go if you're trying to burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time. I'm starting out with swimming because it builds muscle and burns a significant amount of calories.

I think 147 is reasonable still. I have a lot of tall friends and am 5'9" myself. Right now I'm around 168 lbs and I'm working down to 140. My sister is an athlete at 5'10" and weighs 140 in season. I guess also stay aware that muscle weighs more than fat, so you might look thinner (ie no more muffin top) but weigh more if…

I follow the "eat what I want in moderation" food plan. It's been more successful for me than trying to cut out food groups or stick to diet meals and easier to maintain when I'm out with friends or family.

Good god, I hate thigh gaps. In high school/beginning of college I was 5'7", size 2, 100 pounds. No thigh gap (thankfully back then there was no pressure for one, either!). Grew 2 inches to 5'9", gained 15 lbs and went to a size 4, still no thigh gap. Now at 25, size 12 and 170 lbs there's not even a chance of seeing one.…

I find mushrooms on my grocery list most weeks, as well as spinach (frozen) and potatoes. I'm not vegetarian, but I usually use these as sides or tie them into my main dish. Favorite mushroom recipe is to saute in butter, add some thyme and a splash of balsamic. :) Yum! I guess the every week items are: milk eggs mushrooms…

Swimming for an hour burns ~500 calories. Zumba burns ~600 per hour. Cycling burns ~400 per hour. Hiking is one of my favorites, since I often hike 5 miles+ on hilly or mountainous terrain. Carry a backpack with emergency supplies, granola bars & water and you're carrying 10 lbs and burning even more. My goal is to have my…

I've been losing weight for about 9 months now (yes, I slacked off for a few months in there!) but I just went home last weekend and my mom and sister said they noticed a difference between me now and me at the holidays. I'd say averaged out I've lost 15-17 pounds between now and when I started last July, but I think I've…

Swim is good. When I was forcing myself onto the treadmill (there's some in my apartment building, as opposed to going to the gym) I would put some videos on my tablet and watch them while working out. Anything to distract me from the monotony of staring at a brick wall!! I always prefer to get cardio from riding my bike,…

I pulled out of my rut by figuring out that the only way I'm going to feel better about my body is to work on it. I joined an all women gym so that I don't feel as self conscious, but if you have a gym membership already just put in your headphones and get to work! :)

9 great lipstick & great progress!!

Leftovers from dinner last night, so a pork chop & green beans. I'm only cooking for two, so my lunch most days are dinner leftovers. 345 calories.

Not to be a downer, but three months is not a lot of time to lose weight, especially if you've already gotten a dress and what not. My sister is maid of honor in a late May wedding. They picked out bridesmaid dresses in October, and between then and her dress fitting last Sunday she's dropped 4 dress sizes (down to a size…

Originally I gained weight from stress in 2013. I gained 30 pounds between October 2012 and July 2013. I also moved and went through 4 jobs and was unemployed for 4 months (employed 4 months/ unemployed 1 month/ employed 2 months/ unemployed 3 months). Couldn't afford a gym membership/stopped keeping track at christmas and…

I just search yoga videos on youtube and then use chromecast to watch them on my tv. It's like my own private yoga studio :) I can even crank up the heat if I want bikram yoga, haha

It is something I've struggled with in the past. I have a family history of torn knee ligaments, which are brought on by excessive running. So I skip the running and go for hiking or biking that I still enjoy and are easier on my knees. I also make sure to keep my knees strong.
