  • so NO ONE replied to this? Yikes. Well, I've had both of them on and as much as I LOVE Polar products, I'm thinking I will stick with my FitBit for a variety of reasons and just keep using my Polar FT4 for all HRM purposes. Sorry Polar Loop.
  • FT4 is what i have, its a bit cheaper but I wouldn't mind the FT7 - I had a 3 mile run today (treadmill with no incline), 38 mins burned 420 cals and my avg hr was 158....i also have a fitbit and have been eying up the polar loop bc it has the capabilities of both (if you're into that), unfortunately polar things don't…
  • i have a polar ft4 with a chest strap and my workout has to be pretty "intense" to burn 300 cals in 30 minutes, like badcemmom it has to be mostly running. i'm 5 foot 6 with a bit over the average weight.
  • @mnecka - what size of rewards have you gotten? I feel like the not wanting to spend money would also be the motivator for me as well

  • i lied, i have found the setting for current pace controls on the audio feedback for MapMy*
  • I think you have to be MVP to have live feedback on MapMy*
  • walking along: thanks for the tip about 200 steps being only about 2 min of walking. i tested this :) i'm still a bit skeptical because i talk with my hands so much but you guys all have me thinking i may actually keep it. i'm gonna continue to monitor it....maybe i should set my steps higher? the whole point is for this…
  • i'm not sure i'm entirely impressed right now with my fitbit. I had class last night for about 3 hours, and it says i walked over 200 steps......I already have my fb set to my dominant had even though its not on a non-dominant because i use my hands alot...im kinda fidgety, especially when i'm bored. any other suggestions?
  • woohoo!!! i read about negative adjustments but couldn't find it anywhere. thanks for your help, mfp now shows me a 16 calorie adjustment and still says im over, but I feel like i trust it a bit more than fit bit. I'm gonna try this out and see how it goes. thanks for all your help so much!
  • Ok, so here is another question then. Both apps are synced together, fit bit is obviously seeing what I plugged into MFP for food, and MFP sees that fit bit is linked because it has the fitbit adjust calorie category....however, turns out my phone (Droid Razr Maxx, not the HD version) is not compatible with my fitbit…
  • I've been having a cheat day once a week. I have no set day, it depends on my schedule and whats going. If it's early in the week, then I just have to choose to be good the rest of the week. If I have multiple events going on, I choose which one/day I'm gonna "cheat" on ahead of time.
  • keep it up! you look great!
  • nice job!!!!!!!!!!!!! i still do assisted :/ - ican't wait till i do my first one!
  • you look better at 206 than I do at my weight (which is less than yours)! keep on doing whatever you are doing!
  • what about setting an alarm/reminder at night on your phone? I'm sure you don't go to bed the same time every night but maybe this will get you into a routine...
  • is no one posting in here? Is it redundant?
  • Today I burned 883 calories in 203 minutes jogging, elliptical and playing volleyball. I also did Day 2 of both Squat (55) and Plank (20 sec) Challenges. Plus my butt and thighs hurt SO much from squats yesterday! It made today ROUGH!
  • you're good with m/w/f I didn't work out on the festivities days......i can give excuses but i won't. I just need to stop leaving for days at a time. Today I burned 665 calories jogging and doing the elliptical. I also did Day 1 of both Squat (50) and Plank (20 sec) Challenges. Just trying to figure out how i want to log…
  • ^^^^^^GRIND IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • @dynamitegalxo what if you do MWF X30 and T/R X60 or vice versa? I had a crazy fun weekend but def gained some weight...lots of drinking and eating how i want....i lost some weight since my normal monday weigh in...here are my workouts Monday = 654 cals jogging and eliptical (yay!) • Thanks Angimom! I had quite a few slip ups last week and have more fun things planned for thsi week, so I'm just trying not to fall off. Gotta hit it hard!
  • How much are you netting for calories? Are you eating back exercise calories? WHAT are you eating? There is alot that goes into this and I bet more people could help you if you opened up your diary.
  • Saturday: Jogging 12 min, Elliptical 43 min = 576 calories Sunday: Elliptical 67 min = 623 calories Monday: Crossramp 23 min, Elliptical 37 = 514 calories
  • Sometimes I do pay before I play...these were spontaneous after work when we all opened (retail). I should keep this in mind for the upcoming coming week and have what I'm already gonna drink decided (much like meals), this should help, thanks! edited for typo
  • take what the HRM says. When you think of hills and if you had wind working against you that would make a difference too. You also have now used 2 diff HRM's with similar results. Make sure the HRM is also set to your weight as well. Good luck on the rest of your research
