Holidays and family get togethers are meant to be enjoyed. Part of being on MFP is learning how to eat without depriving yourself of simple pleasures. Eat before you go so you wont be tempted by mountains of food but do be polite and eat something while you are there. Look for the healthier choices and take small portions.…

Holy smokes that a completely different guy! Awesome job :)

^^^this, numbness for this long is not normal. I had the same numbness after a c section 30 plus years ago but didn't have anything done until my 2nd c section, 1st Dr. was an *kitten*

Could be they accounting for the "small amount of oil" in the directions or is it from loss of moisture content in the raw meat?

Congratulations you look fantastic!

I don't think the Loop is integrated that way as is not going off of my TDEE , only the daily calorie allotment that I put in myself. I could be wrong but my TDEE isn't 1340
-
If you had one of those new fangled doohickeys it would automatically adjust your daily calorie burn for you. I use a polar loop with negative calories enabled and it will adjust my calorie goal for me. So far it's working as intended

My treadmill is way off unless I have the incline cranked up. I use a HRM and these calculators just to give me a ballpark average. My bike has HRM in the handlebars but it tends to triple my calorie burn so I don't even bother looking at it anymore
-
That seems very low but try a different calculator and see what you get http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/activity-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx

if you look in the database there should be a "net carb adjustment" it works on the web but not the app. I use it when I am too lazy to do the math in my head

I may tolerate them but wish I didn't have to take them. As a previous poster stated, maybe discuss your concerns with your Dr. who can best advise you

I do get winded if and when I get to the upper level which is rare. Im 56 and have a doctor set HR range to workout between 116-130 for my HR, I can get to 125 and thats after 25-30 minutes of exercise. My HR hovers right around 117-120 during heavy exercise and have a resting HR of 50-52
-
I've been taking a beta blocker for almost 3 yrs now. While it does tend to keep my HR lower it has had no effect on my exercise or weight loss. I'm about 10-15 beats off what I should be for someone my age. Best advise my cardiologist gave me was to go by my perceived exertion level.

Best wishes to your mother. When my husband was going through chemo it was a lot trail and error thanks to the nausea. Getting him to eat was a challenge. Lots of full fat dairy, olive oils, pudding, cold pasta salads, meatloaf and ham where the basics. Softer foods that didnt require a lot chewing went over fairly well.…

Middle age Bat wings here as well, I'm hoping they tighten up enough to be confident enough to wear sleeveless tops again. I bought a small set of hand weights to use and it does seem to help. I downloaded "fitness buddy" app for my iPhone to give me basic lifts to do

I planted a small garden with tomato, and variety of squashes, not much of a farmer. I joined a CSA for the bulk of my summer veggies

It makes sense to me. You are basically eating at maintenance for someone in a normal weight range. The pounds will drop off just slower than someone who has cut to that magical 1200 and exercises out the wazoo to get an extra dollop of something to eat. I'm 5'2" and pushing 60, Doc wants me to eat between 1300-1500 a day…

All the pets are so adorable... Well except for the slithering ones, eck

I got mine at petsmart , they have the d ring on that goes across their chest not on top of their backs http://m.petsmart.com/h5/hub?id=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.petsmart.com%2Fdog%2Fharnesses%2Fpetsafe-easy-walk-dog-harness-zid36-9378%2Fcat-36-catid-100082%3Fnull

Easy walk harness ! Even the grandkids could handle them
-
I walk my two but also volunteered at a rescue for a while. Twenty-eight dogs needed walks and play time once a week. I was whipped, the dogs were content but never tired lol

My walking partners

OP the settings they are telling to use are only available on the website, there is no way to do it from the Iphone short of completely disconnecting the device

I think that was a WW thing as long as you ate just plain veggies but as soon as you combined or added anything the points added up quickly. You would be surprised how many calories are in those freebies.

I had the same problems when I was first given the high BP meds. Homemade nut butters help get those calories up and still keep my sodium down. I still have days when I can't seem to eat another bite and way below MFP limits and will have that 1-2 days every so often I will feel I will start eating my limbs off....hazard…
