yay!!! Followed your first post and was hoping you had gotten together as more than friends. Good luck on your continued weight loss and congratulations on finding Jackie. Sounds as though it was meant to be!

Since I started lifting I've taken off my headphones and started chatting to people in between sets. I've gotten to know a couple of people and there's always someone who is happy to help with the spotting the bench press. I'd say don't be shy and just ask someone if they'd mind when you need some help. You might end up…

I lost weight with Weightwatchers on numerous occasions but I always put it back on. For me I've found tracking on MFP is just as effective. On here I'm tracking calories as opposed to Pro Points but as MFP is free and weightwatchers costs £20 per month I'm losing the weight but saving money.

Start it now. You'll still lose weight eating at a deficit but building muscle will actually help with the calorie burn.

Only just started lifting weights last week and I love it but.....I love my cardio too so the answer do both. I've changed my workout and have a great balance between the two. People need to do what works for them and what they enjoy as for many they are just returning to exercise and want to start off gently. It can be…

In the UK you can have it done on the NHS so financial cost is nothing to the individual however my friend has to maintain her weight loss for 18 months before the op can be undertaken and I believe this is the same for all of our health trust authorities. You need to prove that you've made that permanent lifestyle change.

I can't speak from personal experience as I don't think I've lost enough for loose skin to be an issue yet however I do have a couple of friends at the gym who've lost over 100lbs each. The lady who has done kettle bell classes and lifts heavy weight hasn't had any issues with loose skin, while the other lady who does…

I share mine. It helps to get ideas for menus from other people and if I'm looking at theirs I don't mind if they see mine :blushing: I know I've shared recipes etc after people have viewed my diary and vice versa. No-one judges but if they do everyone's entitled to their opinion however it's my decision at the end of the…
