Does anyone know if a heart rate monitor can be used in conjunction with myfitnesspal and how to set it up?

    I use my Fitbit Hr charge and it syncs with MFP. You just add it under devices. Instructions on the mfp frequently asked questions.

    You have to tie it to a third party app such as Endomondo or something. It doesn't really carry the heart rate info across but it will carry the excercise and calories burned. But be wary, no heart rate monitor is 100% accurate and the results might skew based on your type of activity. It's generally ok for steady state cardio, but horrible for weights.

    What type are you buying, I have a Polar, it connects through the polar flow app when used with apple device
