  • It's definitely the age. I have a very picky-eating 4-year-old who eats chicken nuggets 4-5 days a week for at least one meal. I do have to be sneaky with getting other veggies and fruits into her, though. I brought this up to my pediatrican who said that it is totally normal for the age and that as long as they are…
  • Hi There, We are of similar size, and I was your weight back in December. I also work a desk job and fall under sedentary. I was at a standstill for awhile and bumped my calories to 1400-1600, burning about 300-400 though my daily jogs. As long as I was NETTING 1200, I lost weight. My body needed the fuel to lose the fat.…
  • I am also a LOFT girl. I am usually a size 6, but have to buy 2's and 4's there, which is always an ego boost! Plus, being short, it's great that they carry petitie sizes. AND, being in my 30's as well, their clothes don't make me look like I am trying to be 16!
  • Hi There! I was stuck at that weight in the middle of the fall (I am also 5'3"). I started intervals on the treadmill, which made a huge difference. I generally walk one minute, jog 3 minutes, and sprint all out for a minute. I do 5 times total. I also found that zig-zagging my calories helps, meaning 1,200 one day, maybe…
  • I think there may a little generalizing going on with the 1,200 calorie thing. I have been on 1,200 since approximately 10/1/10 and have lost 21 lbs. Granted, I am a smaller framed person and I am now within 8-10 lbs. of my goal weight. I do not starve. Are there days when I go over? Of course! But, generally speaking,…
  • I'm also trying to lose those last couple of baby pounds - support is VERY important for moms. It's tough juggling babies, work, households, etc. You can do it! Request coming!
  • Gained 53 with the first and 47 with the second...ouch! And I'm only 5'3"! Took me about 4 months each time to lose it -I stall at around 145 and am stuck with 20 to lose on my own. Just met my goal after the second pregnancy and am trying to lose an extra 10 on top of that. I figure, why stop now??
  • I've had great results with ESE. I don't have "much" to lose and it's really helped me shed the last few stubborn pounds. I'll usually do 1-2 fasts per week and I stay at 1,200 calories on my eating days. On weeks that I have done 2 fasts, I'll usually lose 1.5-2 lbs. I think the key for me has also been to not go hog wild…
  • EXTREME tiredness, which was before I found out. I conceived around 12/10/09 and got a positive test on 12/21/09. I was due for my period on 12/28 or so, so I was able to find out EARLY. I used a First Response test and it popped up positive right away. Depending on how far past ovulation you are, you may be able to test.…
  • I'm in! I was going to go from 1pm today until 1pm tomorrow, also. I should be due for another on Tuesday-Wednesday. It's still going well for me, although I did indulge during the holidays a bit. It felt good to fast after all of that food, lol! I am still seeing results on the scale, another 1.5 lbs last week, for a…
  • I am pretty sure that Weight Watchers has a program for nursing mothers. Maybe you want to check that out. I also had a baby in September -- congrats to you!
  • I'm on my last two-and-a-half hours of my first fast for the week. This is my third fasting day since I started, and I have noticed that it does get a lot easier each time I do it. I will fast again from Thursday @ 1pm until Friday at 1pm, that way I get another one in before the holidays.
  • Hi All, Just came across your thread. I had my first fasting week last week. I did Tuesday and Thursday. I did mine from 1pm-1pm, that way I could have breakfast and lunch and then begin. I'm not a big breakfast person, so this seemed to work best for me. I was a little worried about working out during fasting days, so I…
  • You'll get there! I am 3 months postpartum with my second. I bounced back much more quickly with my first than my second. I am slowly getting there. My stomach has never been the same due to the skin stretching and I gain more weight easily in my stomach since having kids. I also think my hips have permanently gotten…
  • Sounds just like me, aguieb! You go girl! It's all about being healthy for our kids, our families and ourselves!
  • Hi Ladies! I think this may be the thread for me! I am 5'3", weigh 132, and just had my 2nd baby 3 months ago. I gained 48 lbs and am trying to shed the last 8 or so to feel comfortable and be back in my clothes! I'd love to keep going and get below 120 once I reach my first goal. Trying to fit in the workouts is tough --…
  • Hey Ashley...thanks for the message. You sound like my husband, lol! He's always telling me to go easy on myself and that the weight will come off. I know it will, it's just tough when not a darn thing in the closet fits!! ugh. I finally had to suck it up and by some stuff so I had suitable clothes to wear at work. I…
  • Hey Candance, Yeah, breast feeding didn't help me out in the losing weight department, either. It wasn't till I weaned her at 6 weeks (had to go back to work) that I started to see any weight loss at all. Slowly, but surely I am getting there. It came off much faster after the first one, it's been much tougher this time…
