Hello Everyone!

I just gave birth to my second daughter on 9/9/10 and am trying to shed those last stubborn pregnancy pounds. Just wondering if there is anyone else out there in the same boat looking to share tips and offer support to one another during this journey through the BABY DAYS! I'd love to hear from you! Also, I've tried to find a new mom's group on MFP but haven't been successful...anyone know of one? THANKS!

well..................sort of, I had my second child in March. I really dont have any tips. All the baby weight i gained became my weight. Breastfeeding didn't even help me lose any weight. I still have 20lbs to lose from my second pregnancy plus the 15 I still had from my first. I am not sure about any new moms groups on here, but then again I never looked for any so who knows. Oh I forgot to say "Hello, and Welcome". Im Candace btw

    Hey Candance,
Yeah, breast feeding didn't help me out in the losing weight department, either. It wasn't till I weaned her at 6 weeks (had to go back to work) that I started to see any weight loss at all. Slowly, but surely I am getting there. It came off much faster after the first one, it's been much tougher this time around. I'm older and also don't have as much free time. I work full-time and have a 40 minute commute, so fitting in time for working out is my biggest dilemma. The life of a mother is never easy, lol!
    Oh, and I'm Erin : )

Hi! My girls were born in May of 2008 and February 2010. I successfully lost all the baby weight (37 pounds) with #1 about 2 weeks before I got pregnant with #2. *Sigh* I've now lost 27 of the 32 pounds I gained with #2, but she's also 10 months old. Your baby is not that old! Don't stress about having ALL the weight off yet. Just be sure that you are eating healthy foods that give you the most bang for your calories. You will lose it, it just might take longer than you'd like. If you aren't breastfeeding, you still are only a few months post a really traumatic event to your body, so it will take some time to get things back to normal.

Hey Ashley...thanks for the message. You sound like my husband, lol! He's always telling me to go easy on myself and that the weight will come off. I know it will, it's just tough when not a darn thing in the closet fits!! ugh. I finally had to suck it up and by some stuff so I had suitable clothes to wear at work.
I "think" my body is trying to get back to normal. After 6 weeks of nursing, I finally got my period this week - 3 months PP. That's a step in the right direction in getting some normal hormone levels back.
So, you also have two girls? Me, too! I love having girls - they are so much fun!
