I have a question about this. I tried it the other day and the yogurt got really thick and kinda gross. Is it supposed to get thick when you put in the cheesecake pudding mix?

I love bananas! Unfortunately, my tummy will only allow me one a day. Otherwise I'd eat a bunch a day.
-
I eat 150g-250g of carbs a day, mostly from fruit, but there is some chocolate and cookies in there too :D
-
I don't know what you mean by supplements. I take: Multi-vitamin Omega-3 Vitamin D I also drink a protein shake on gym days and drink creatine every day
-
Not necessarily. It doesn't take long at all to enter your own food. It probably takes longer to search for the correct entry in the database.

Office job here. Not low carb though. I eat every 2-3 hours all day long. I pack all of my food the night before and concentrate on protein rich foods or high volume/low calorie foods. I do not eat many catered lunches or any snacks people bring in to share. It works for me.

For most people the last place they lose is in the stomach and they are at a very low BF% when the stomach does eventually go. Some people can't ever get rid of the stomach. For me, I don't want to get that low so I accept my flabby stomach as it is and work on other areas. My daughter is very low BF and she still has a…

I would not use the database and create my own foods so you know they're accurate

Skip the Thanksgiving deadline and just know that this takes time. Start by recording everything you eat and find the calories for each food. At this point I wouldn't worry about meeting any calorie goals. It's a real eye opener when you see just how much food you're consuming. Once you know where you're coming from, it's…

But not if it makes you go over on calories. If you've calculated it right and you hit all of your macros in grams, then you've also hit your calories.
-
I did it along the way because I was running out of room to store them! :D

I have shifted my motivation from losing weight to gaining muscle and being fit. Since the two (maintaining and weight lifting) go hand in hand it's been an easy transition. Maybe find something else that motivates you?

Maintenance to me is no different than losing. I still weigh and log my food. I still weigh myself daily. I just get more calories per day :D
-
I weigh and log my weight every day. I have a "never go over" number and if I find myself inching toward that I know to cut back for a bit. A lot of people will disagree with me but I think it's very important, especially in maintenance, to weigh every day.
-
I think eating a healthy balance of their food and your food is a good idea. Pre-weighing and packaging your own food is excellent. That way you can grab and go. Also, maybe invite them on a nightly walk
-
For me I had to find a lifestyle that didn't cut out any foods or food groups and where I could still eat the foods I loved. It's taken me a few years but I've found it. Weighing and logging my food is a must. I can go long stretches without weighing and logging but I usually come back to it for peace of mind. Weighing…

I agree. Just remember to not eat your exercise calories back because IIFYM already accounts for exercise.

I am on a Low Cow kick. It's a Kroger brand. Chocolate peanut butter is my favorite
-
My usual rotation: Egg salad Shredded chicken, mixed with whatever I felt like the night before or made into a burrito with cheese Greek yogurt Cottage Cheese Babybells Sliced cucumbers with seasoning cole slaw mixed with Bolthouse dressing Cheerios (to either mix with my yogurt or for a crunchy ending to my lunch)
-
I say log the food you want in the morning and work your calories for the day around it. It's not an award because you're making it fit. I think rewarding ourselves with food is why most people are here trying to lose weight.

Someone once told me that if you rely on a temporary emotion like motivation, you will get temporary results. I treat my gym time like any other appointment I've made. I go and do the things. Once you start seeing results then the motivation will kick in to keep going.

50-60 minutes, all strength training
-
What calorie tracker are you referring to? MyFitnessPal? Also, your diary is closed so we can't see what you're eating or how you're logging. You might be eating enough, but not logging correctly.
-
If I don't weigh and log my food in maintenance I find that I undereat because I have a real fear of overeating. Maybe go back to weighing and logging?

That's terrible of your sister in law and it sounds like there is backstory that makes it appear that this is not surprising that she said it. But damn, I'm so sorry. And you handled it beautifully.

Yes, MFP is designed to eat back exercise calories but you do not have to eat them back if you calculate your calories without exercise. If you're still hungry at 1600 calories, I would up it to 1700. Rule of thumb is your body weight times 10 (not eating your exercise calories back).

I am almost finished with Strong Curves and I highly recommend it. If you follow the program, you will build your booty

Fear of gaining it all back

I am working on recomp as well. It's a long road and the scale frustrates me because I think I should see it going down. Thank you for sharing the pictures. This gives me hope
