This. I don't take my wallet or purse to work with me. I pack my lunch, leave all money at home and then I have no choice but to eat what I pack.

A healthy weight loss is 1 pound a week--2 at the VERY most. You are right on track and exactly where you should be.

Did I hear men in kilts? Oh, I am so in.

You should check out Ed's blog. He's a member here and has lost 280+ pounds all with hard work. He's so inspirational. http://www.gettingfit4life.com

#2 Fear of Making Ugly Faces My teenage kids (who are my workout buddies) always laugh at the strange faces I make as I'm lifting. Good to know I'm doing it right.

I cried while reading this. One of the best success stories I've ever read.

I'm a lot like you. I've stalled at the (almost) 30 pound mark and have struggled to lose any more. But I discovered weight lifting and I've been losing inches. Isn't it amazing what our bodies can do when we treat it right? BTW, that last dress is beautiful! I love it and you look amazing!

                What a great motivator! Congratulations!

I put it on my eye lashes as a conditioner. You'd be amazed what it does to your lashes. My son uses it as a polish/conditioner for his guitars. I also use it as a cuticle cream. There are 1001+ uses for coconut oil. But I've never used it too cook with or to lose weight. I'm always skeptical of claims like that. Not that…

This is the strangest thread I've ever read on MFP and that's saying somethin'.

I can't run because of severe arthritis in my hip. I do the elliptical when I do cardio (which is very rarely). You can also swim, walk or ride your bike.

OMGosh! I've been on here for two years and didn't know that. Thanks for sharing!

When I looked there was one week of logging and then nothing for the rest of the month. OP, we're trying to help you but you already said you knew the answer--there is no such thing as spot reducing. Also, if you're not logging we can't help. If you're logging somewhere else, we still can't help. And this is my personal…

There's only one week in which you logged your food and in that week you only ate 1100 calories a day and yet your goal was 2000. Not sure what's going on with that. But you're right, you can't spot reduce. You will lose weight where your body wants you to.

The Fitbit dashboard has green, yellow and red. I always aim for green but if I'm in the yellow it doesn't bother me too much.

This is a good rule for everyone, whether you're obese or at your optimum weight.

My Fitbit motivates me to move more. I use it to calculate my calories burned because I feel it's more accurate than MFP's calculations.

I gained 3 pounds on vacation last year (we went on a 7 day cruise) and the pounds came right off within two weeks of returning home and eating right.

Tonight I ate 3 pieces of pizza, a side caesar's salad, a chocolate martini and three bites of delicious lemon/blueberry cake. I also took a LONG walk after and hiked before. I don't feel the least bit guilty.

You know what really helped me this time around and is the reason I think I've kept the weight off for so long (besides this awesome MFP community)? Allowing myself to fail. If you allow yourself to fail you won't beat yourself up so much. It's okay to be imperfect. We're all imperfect. What sets us above everyone else is…

I work in retail and according to my Fitbit I walk between 3-5 miles a day at work. I don't log it because it's what I do every day. I only log stuff I do on top of that (like walking the dogs, hiking, elliptical, etc). Choose the appropriate activity level on MFP and it will adjust your daily calories accordingly.

I've added everyone I could up until this point. Some people didn't have the full address so I couldn't add you. If I missed you, you can add me https://www.fitbit.com/user/29MG5Y

I spend a little more than that for 5 adult sized people (My husband and I and three teenagers).

I love weightlifting with all of my heart too. I'm a newbie at it and would love to look like you someday but I still have some weight to lose. You've inspired me. Congrats on overcoming your obstacles. You look amazing!

It's not quite the same but I have the last 5 pounds to lose. After working on it for months, and the scale not budging, I finally gave up. I started eating at maintenance and I started weight lifting. I'm not losing weight but I'm losing inches! Just lost another inch in my waist and my hips this week. And I've gone down…

LOL. I say cray-cray to my kids all the time because it drives them.....cray-cray. Seriously, I say it for the eye roll I always get in return. It's so worth it. But I would never say it any other time.

I'm motivated by my logging streak too. But you chose not to log, therefore your streak was broken. It would be highly unfair if you got it fixed. I broke my streak when I went out of the country last summer. I could have had MFP fix it because I had no access to wifi. But I didn't because I wouldn't have logged anyway…

OMG you're in a bikini!!! I want to jump up and down and clap for you. What an inspirational story and your quote on your last picture brought tears to my eyes.
