I'm a doctor (of course, not your doctor, this is not medical advice) and I think MFP is a great tool, and used in conjunction with a healthy eating plan (which includes many of the South Beach Diet principles) can be very powerful. Nevertheless, the above posters are correct; physicians receive little training in…

level 2 day 6 done!!

Day 3 done! Might be getting sightly easier? But I'm still dying at the end!

Oh I've figured out the oblique twists, but that's the cardio move -- I'm talking the ab exercise from the same circuit where you're lying on your back and moving your legs. Wondering if you move em up and down or side-down-side?
-
Finished day 2 today! So tough! I find I'm totally drained by the time I get to the cardio in circuit two. I couldn't push it out like I wanted for the oblique twists, and did only a small jump for the skaters. Rough!

Apart from the push-ups (could only ever do them at the knees), the side lunge with anterior raises were the worst. Even by the last day of level 1, with 3lb weights, the last couple on the last minute killed my arms (though the legs were ok, and I could make it through). Some of this stuff in level 2, though... i dunno.…

Wow. Just did my first day of Level 2 of the 30 Day Shred and it. was. intense. I'm just lying here on the couch like a blob now... don't know how i'm going to move to get myself to work!! PS: 30 Day Shredders -- add me as a friend :D

Overnight oatmeal. The night before, combine: 1/3 cup large flake oats + 1/2 tsp apple pie spice or cinnamon + 1 Tbsp chia seeds + sweetener of your choice to taste. Add ~2/3 cup of milk (regular, almond, soy, whatever), stir, and leave in the fridge overnight. In the morning, add 1 Tbsp peanut or almond butter & some…

Finished day 3 today -- planning to get through the program by the end of January! I definitely noticed even today that it was easier than day one (just easiER, not easy). Any fellow 30DSers, I'd love to have you as friends! Add me :)

Hi all! I started the 30DS on January 1st with the goal of completing it *in* January. Just about to do day 3 this morning! I'm 173lbs, and hopefully can see some results by the end of the month. Really hoping this will be the kick in the butt I need to make daily activity a part of my regular routine. Feel free to add me…

This one looks yummy: http://www.cookingandme.com/2011/05/eggless-chocolate-banana-pound-cake.html Basically it uses banana + baking powder to replace the egg.

This recipe for chicken skewers is really good. Serve with a nice cool yogurt dip (or buy some tzatziki) and sweet potato fries and a greek village salad of tomatoes, cucumbers & feta with a simple oil & vinegar dressing. Ingredients Marinade 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice 1 tbsp liquid honey 1 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp…

Here are a couple ideas from recipes I've made recently... This curried chickpea & vegetable stew is one of my favorites: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/muzio/view/curried-chickpea-vegetable-stew-94679 . It's got a coconut milk and peanut butter sauce base and is only 251cals a serving! If you would prefer a tomatoey…

Take half a banana, then slice that half length wise. Put a couple pieces of dark chocolate on the flat surface and microwave for 15 seconds or until the banana is a little warm and the chocolate nice and melty over top of it. Mmmmm.

I don't do cheat "days". I find a whole day is enough time for a lot of damage, and too easily snowballs into cheat dayS and complete derailment. I do allow myself cheat (or off-plan) meals. My rule is that they have to be planned (ie: can't go out for pizza on impulse) and I have to get right back on plan! I generally…
