You'd probably come out on the right side of that bet. Plus, the last 5-6 miles were mostly incline, which certainly didn't help. I'm taking another stab at the same race (minimal course changes) on Saturday. Hoping to run a little smarter / faster.

I did a marathon when it was 16F. It was cold, but wasn't terrible because the wind wasn't a factor. Having said that, give me 40F and sunny and I'm a happy guy.

Count me in for that sounds awful.

Loner here as well. I run and workout alone.

Thanks guys. Unlike the 15k PR, conditions weren't ideal for the 1/2 marathon, 55 degrees with 95% humidity. Feel like my effort was all I could give on that day in those conditions though. Pegged my heart rate at 183bpm avg (93% of max) and went for it.

Thanks Carson. Conditions were ideal. Cold with no wind and a flat course.

New half marathon PR on Saturday...1:16:17

The SEC doesn't suck in sports that matter. There are other sports outside the main 3 we could care less about.

Probably depends a lot on where you're from. People in the south could give a crap about NHL and NCAA football is a religion. I'm sure its the opposite in other parts of the country.

Increased mileage and long tempo runs (7-10 miles) will work wonders for your time. Also, run the last few miles of your long runs at race pace if you can.

I'll bite. Count me in

Yep

Pick something. It's all pretty impressive!

Ha, about 170...wish I could get down to abt 165 to shave a little time off my half marathon PR.
-
@someone...I'd say 115

I would think the medium with the most user specific input, whether it be the treadmill or HRM watch, would be the most accrurate.
