  • Hi! My name is Renee and I kind of have a big goal too. I’m struggling with a knee injury and trying to be active again. I also do low carb since I’m diabetic. I enjoy hiking and I’m trying to do more of it lately.

  • Hi everyone. I’ve had a super busy week but I did join the gym yesterday. I really liked the StrongLifts 5x5 program when I did it before and my goal is to do that 3x a week. It’s all I can fit in with my schedule. I had a 3.2 pound weight loss this week. I haven’t been watching my carbs as close as I could be. January 17…
  • Good evening everyone. I’m glad to see an active thread. I did well today. Had a couple bowls of chili in the breakroom at lunch. Homemade and I didn’t eat the beans. I’m hoping for a good weigh in Friday. What kind of exercise is anyone doing? I lost my weight this far by diet but wanted to get in gear in the gym again. I…
  • Hi I’m going to jump in and join you all. I’m going to start back on the strong lifts program as soon as I can get back into the gym. I work 2 full time jobs so 80-90 hours a week is my normal schedule. It’s hard to fit it all in. But when I did it before I saw good results. January 17 232 January 24 228
  • Hi I was wondering if it’s too late to join your group? I started losing weight about a year ago and am currently about 229. I also do low carb/keto.
  • You look awesome for recovering from Sepsis!
  • I squatted 50 pounds 5 reps times 5 sets! Breaking parallel with my hips going lower than my knees.
  • I started this program today and I loved it. I have lost 59 pounds in the last 4 months by diet alone. I was rehabbing a knee. Today I started strong lifts and the couch to 5k program for cardio. Using the free weights is definitely stepping outside my comfort zone but my awesome hubby went to the gym and coached me today.…
  • I’m starting this program Tuesday. I have lost 60 pounds since August but I have been rehabbing a knee so it has all been diet. I can’t wait to start now that my knee is doing better. Any other ladies currently doing this program?
  • My husband told me he got something for me for Christmas in a size large but that when he opened it it looked like it would fit our 12 year old daughter. I told him not to send it back we would just give it to her. He showed me the T-shirt and I tried it on and it actually fit!
  • I forgot to mention I do bacon or sausage for breakfast every morning. The higher fats keep me full longer. I’ve tried lower fat options but they just didn’t curb my appetite as well. I started taking apple cider vinegar pills yesterday and I will see if they do anything for me.
  • I never fast more than 2 days a week and they are never consecutive. I do some of the same things a previous poster said. If I am hungry I will drink warm broth it helps curb the appetite. Today I ate 1,200 calories. I work 2 jobs and 80+ hours a week and have a large family. If I am super busy and can’t get away from my…
  • For all my peers that are questioning what I eat here it is. I eat about 1,500 calories a day. I do intermittent fast one day a week and possibly a second day later in the week if I feel like it. Before judging me, yes I do eat bacon for breakfast pretty much every day. If I fasting I do not eat again till breakfast the…
  • “@wren176 When you eat breakfast and then fast the rest of the day, do you usually do the same thing the following day or do you do another fasting protocol?” @cemkiss I normally will eat breakfast which consist of 4 pieces of bacon and then fast till breakfast the next day. I don’t know what it is about the bacon but it…
  • I should be back in “onederland” by Friday!
  • That’s incredible! I bet you feel so much better!
  • I am 42 and have lost 50 pounds since August 17,2018. I try to keep my carbs at 25 or less a day. The only time I log is if my weight loss slows I track it to see why. I’m pretty strict. I have one cheat meal a month. I feel great and have lots of energy compared to before.
  • You are exactly right! That’s the way my knee is. The recumbent bike is definitely a good one for my knee and I do not go all out. Slowly but surely.
  • All I do is try to stay at 25 carbs or less a day. I’m my weight loss is slow I track to see why otherwise I don’t even log. I am pretty strict about it though. I have had 3 cheat meals in 3 months. It really reduces my cravings for carbs. I ate whatever I wanted for Thanksgiving yesterday and today is back to normal.
  • I have lost a 5 gallon water bottle and a guinea pig.
  • I started 8 weeks ago at 254.6 pounds and I’m currently at 215 pounds. That’s 39 pounds in two months just doing a low carb diet. I’m having issues with my knees so I haven’t been very active I’m just watching my diet close.
  • Great job! I do low carb and intermittent fasting 1 or 2 days a week. Some days I’ll do a 24 hour fast. Eat breakfast then not eat again till the following day. It work great for me. I don’t have a schedule just choose to fast on the days I’m not feeling hungry.
  • I have been doing Keto for 7 weeks as of tomorrow. I have lost 30 pounds and it keeps me motivated to keep going. I haven’t been working out because I injured my knee and I’m giving it some time to heal.
  • I’m doing 24 hour fast on M, W, F along with low carb. It seems to be working. I’m down 19 pounds in 3 weeks.
  • I'm in! I got my Fitbit in the mail today. It's rained all day so I haven't been able to get out and walk. Dec 3- 1275
  • I'm back on the wagon today! No more putting it off.
  • I'm in! Sounds fun.

  • I think they are a little different. The first time I did the program I ran on a treadmill or an elliptical. I was already running a mile indoors and went to the high school track to run and couldn't complete a mile. I read after that to keep the incline at 2 at least to mimic outdoors. I am heavier so I doors on an…
