I agree with the others, you may not need all of that water. If it's a chore to get it all in then I would drink less. And yeah, add more calorie dense foods to your diet. Fat is not the enemy if it's the right kind of fat. Oils, avocado's, full fat greek yoghurts, the whole egg instead of just the whites etc.

This is perfect advice and exactly what I was going to say. If you've been overweight and you're used to seeing you a certain way then it takes time to adjust. Like we say in weight loss, make small goals and when you reach it make another one until you get where you need to be. So start small. Eventually you'll love more…

You had me at 'you don't need to jump start your weight loss'...
-
Awesome! But don't be discouraged if you initially see a gain. That can happen when you come off a low cal diet as your body adjusts but stick with it and give it time and it will balance out in the end. Good luck! :-)

I think I love you...

The thing is, around here if you talk about doing a fast people think it means you're not going to eat which is unhealthy but you know that. You say that people shouldn't assume things about a person's history but if you ask a question then we can only go off the information you give us, which was insufficient to answer…

Ok, well you possibly should have stated that at the beginning. The way you said it implied that this is something you had been doing for a while and planned to continue long term, and the concern is coming from the severe caloric deficit. If you're really interested in fasting I would suggest intermittent fasting as has…

The problem is not with the timing of the meals. I love IF and see no problem with 20/4. The problem is that she is consistently eating between 700-800 calories in the time she is eating every day. This is simply not enough to fuel the body and will be doing damage to her health. The fact that she thinks it's ok is denial…

You eat one meal a day that is way under 1000 calories? What you are describing is anorexia not fasting. As another poster menioned, fasting generally involves you eating a substantial amount after a certain period of time, not slowly starving yourself. This is an eating disorder and will be doing more damage to your body…

I love IF. I started off last year doing 16/8 and it really helped me get a handle on my eating habits, controlling cravings etc. and teaching my body to recognise when it actually physically needed food or just thought it did. Unfortunately, I'm a student right now and my schedule is crazy so I haven't been able to focus…

I hate when people do that! They're saying great job and I'm just thinking, did you even look? Because I know that that was not a great job. On the other hand, whilst I am brutally honest and would tell someone, I tend not to because I think it's a bit hypocritical of me to be criticising someone else's diary when I know…

This. Don't overthink it.

That is genius! I'm so gonna do that. Thanks for the tip!

Based on your profile picture I think what he's saying sounds about right about not losing weight but changing your body composition. You already look like you have a pretty nice figure. Don't focus on the scales so much but go by your clothes and measurements. That sounds like what he's getting at. Also for the full fat…

Blogilates.com. Check the website for all the different videos. They're all on youtube so it's free which is even better. The others are right though, you can't spot reduce. The weight will come off wherever it wants to first. Good job so far though!

If you knew the answer then why did you bother asking the question? Jillian is a fitness professional yes, but is she a dietician? Plenty of people have given you sensible answers about the way MFP works you're just choosing to ignore it and go with what you want to believe in, which is fine, everyone's entitles to their…

I'm also gonna be a bridesmaid in November. It's the first time I've ever been one so I'm really excited but I've been warned there's gonna be loads of pictures so I don't want to look like I do now. Call it vanity, I don't care, I need to lose this weight!

If I've read this right then all you're eating during the day is a bowl of cereal and some fruit. If you eat more during the day then you might not be so hungry when you get home and won't feel like pigging out on junk food. Can you take your lunch with you or find a healthier option than pizza? Also yeah, willpower. You…

You are talking like a person with an ED. You seem to have disordered thinking when it comes to food and that is what needs to be addressed. Your body has plateaud because you aren't eating enough. You need to seek professional help from someone a lot more qualified than anyone here will be and also a qualified dietician…

An exercise ball would be really good for you I think as it can definitely take the pressure off your back because it has the give to it that the floor doesn't. Planks are good for strengthening your core so try them too. Someone else also mentioned Pop Pilates which I have to agree with. There are loads of videos on…

Acupuncture can be extremely effective in helping with certain medical conditions. Maybe it will help with weight loss, maybe it won't. But there's no harm in trying it out.

What's wrong with using an alternative therapy to help the process? There's no drugs involved, no surgery, no fad diet or massive calorie restriction. It's just a few tiny needles. It's not unhealthy and isn't going to harm her in any way. So what's the problem?

I'm british and I have to say, this latest shooting has affected me more than any other. These were children who had done nothing to deserve such a tragic ending, not to mention the ones who survived who will be traumatised for life. As to the article I read it yesterday and like others, my heart and respect goes out to…

I've tried a few but none of them made me gain weight. If anything, I lost weight. Was on Gabapentin for a while last year and I put on 60lbs. It made my appetite increase to the point where I had to sit on my hands and suck ice cubes to stop myself from eating. Not on it anymore and my appetite went back to normal but the…

Honestly, yes, you may gain weight for a little while as your body reacts to the change. It'll be holding on to everything it can as storage because it thinks it's not going to keep getting that. But once your body adjusts to the new calorie intake everything should level out and go back to normal. I understand hating…

Are you allowing yourself to have smaller portions of the things you like or are you completely taking them out of your diet? Because if it's the latter then you are more likely to binge after a few weeks. It's better if you allow yourself to have those things and then maybe have one meal a week where you eat what you…

There's nothing wrong with what you're actually eating as it's all healthy stuff but I would definitely suggest more protein, chicken, fish, lean red meat or go for a veggie alternative. Linda McCartney's stuff is quite high in protein. You could also go for a protein shake which will add protein and calories. Avocados are…

I work as a volunteer on a rape crisis helpline helping survivors of sexual and domestic abuse. That first line is an absolute classic. If YOU hadn't done something to make him mad then he wouldn't have reacted. That is always their defense and the ultimate manipulaion tactic which, when said enough, makes the victim start…

Yeah I've been there. It's not a good place. The best advice I ever got was to start small. Pick one thing about yourself that you like and ask yourself why. I started with my eyes. I think I have really pretty eyes, I like the shape, the colour and my eyelashes are really long and dark even though I'm fair. I love my…

You worked out a lot and your body needed fuel. You didn't go out and get fast food or pig out on junk so there's not really a problem here that I can see. The only issue I can see is you feeling guilty for going over on your cals. You only went up to 1419 which really isn't that bad and is actually quite low. I'm…
