I won't go in the ocean as I don't like the thought of things swimming around my feet or stepping on something. It makes me cringe! Also people with gaps in their teeth freak me out. (Don't judge me).

Lol! Took the words out of my mouth!

I think it's more likely that you're diabetic and didn't eat breakfast is what caused you to gain weight. I don't eat breakfast and I'm not gonna force myself to eat. It's unhealthy for you maybe but not for everyone. I feel much better not eating breakfast, I have loads more energy and I eat less (ie binge less) as I'm…

Awesome guys! Thanks. I'll look into all of these. :-)

I'll try to answer what I can but these are purely my own opinions. 1) I personally don't use them as a meal replacement. I either add it on to a meal or have as a snack to up my protein. 2) I like to have them first thing as they can help suppress my appetite for the rest of the day (that's just me though, might not be…

This thread has totally made my night. You guys are hilarious! I think I must be weird though because I actually wanna know if my *kitten* looks big in something. Just me though. One thing I do really hate.....'are you really gonna eat that?' YES. YES I goddamn am! Never question my food. Oh and if we're having a rant we…

I also have the shelf on my butt and it's so irritating. There's not really anything you can do to target a particular area but I would suggest squats and lunges. They need to be your friend now! If it's in your make up that you're gonna have the shelf then that's probably the last place the weight is gonna come off. Just…

Hey, I have around the same amount to lose and also suffer from depression. I've been here for nearly 3 months now and have had my bad times and good times. Last week was a bad time. I didn't log anything, didn't do any exercise and pretty much curled up in a ball all week. I woke up today and for some reason feel a bit…

This^^^. I always work out on an empty stomach. It makes me feel better as I'm not full of food. Everyone's different though and some people need the food. Try it and see what happens. Other than that, see your dr.

Erm...apples can have upwards of 70 cals in them. You really should count them.
-
Awesome, thanks guys. I do have dumbells so I'll try that and I'll look into the hand wraps. I have been doing some planks on my forearms but yeah, I just don't feel like it's hard enough. I'll try all suggestions. You're all awesome!

My mother apparently tried for months to get me one of these. I'm kinda glad she didn't succeed now...

No, you don't. There are many days I do just fine on 1000. There are plenty of other people who live just fine on that too. I'm not saying it's a long term solution because it's not. But for now, it's fine. If you're eating way less than 1000 every day, then it becomes a problem and could be a symptom of something else.
-
Depends if it's happening every day. Is there a reason you aren't hungry? If it's just ocassionally then it shouldn't be a problem but I would be worried if it was a common occurrence.

Weight is not everything. Yes, if you start lifting the scales may not move but the inches will come off and your clothes will fit better. If you have more muscle and more definition then you will look better. Simple as that. Don't focus on the scale.

If you've drastically changed your diet then that early loss is probably water weight. I wouldn't worry about it. It should settle down after a couple of weeks. I personally don't eat my exercise calories back. On training days I do eat a couple hundred more but it also depends on how hungry I am. MFP vastly overestimates…
-
No. MFP's settings for protein are way too low. I aim for around 100-140g a day and I'm fine. Eat more protein. Your body needs it.
-
I'd be interested in knowing that too.
-
^^^This. Your diet is not great. You're eating a lot of processed foods. Add more fruit and veg and fresh foods. And yeah, drink water. This will help flush out the crap.

My own father said that to me years ago. He wasn't trying to be malicious, he just didn't think. It had it's effect though and that is unfortunately irreversible.
-
Absolutely count it! It's still being absorbed by your body even if you are working out, you won't work it all off immediately. It's going to help with the recovery of your muscles.

Apart from all the obvious ones my fat hamster cheeks. It irritates me so much!!

To the OP: ^^^^THIS is the best advice you could have been given!

Ok, so I've read this whole thread. I guess my curiosity got me. But seriously, dude. What is so wrong with having a cookie once in a while? If it fits into your carbs and macros for the day then what is the problem? And where do you get off passing judgement on others just because they either choose not to listen to you…
-
Yeah, quite often the same threads do come up. But it doesn't mean you have to read it or comment at all. People may not know the question's already been asked or know how to search for a topic. I've been on here a couple of months now and I didn't know you could do that. OP I get what you're saying. Everyone is so sure…

There's a lot of history with piers morgan. He was the editor of a newspaper (and I use the term 'news'paper loosely) and he was basically a dirty journalist. Caused a lot of trouble and as others have said, was basically an *kitten*. And in response to the other poster, no, I don't think living costs are more expensive.…
