I do IF and I love it. I do 16/8 which works for me. Check out this page and it'll explain everything in detail: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-n8xJXYHIg

How much??? That's a whole lot of salt! The salt isn't meant to season the pasta, you do that afterwards. All the salt is supposed to do is stop it from sticking together. You only need to add oil if you're not eating the pasta immediately and even then, only a dash. That is waaaay too much salt.

It's like a pancake mix (british style) but cooked in the oven. Delicious!

I don't eat mine back as my trainer says nay. However on days where I do strength workouts I do eat 200 more than days I don't. It's working for me. There's no way I could eat as many as MFP tells me to. This is at the moment anyway. Right now I'm actively trying to lose weight. Maybe when I have less to lose and just want…

^^ This! Your brain gets so used to seeing the bigger you that it just can't quite accept the changes. Try looking at an old picture and then look at yourself now. Pick 1 feature that you think has changed. Just 1. Take a while to get used to that then pick another 1. Eventually you'll see it all. :-) Hope this helps.

Again, thanks to everyone. I've taken it all on board and trying to remember baby steps! I made a plan for today and I stuck to it. Mostly. I've made another one for tomorrow and I'll try and stick to that. And so on and so on. Hopefully getting there

Yeah, you could try sticking another one in in the middle of the week. See how it goes. We just don't want you to burn yourself out and damage your body by trying to do too much. If that routine works for you then great, go for it. Just make sure you listen to your body not your mind.

I know exactly how you feel! I split up with my bf last year and the whole relationship completely knocked my confidence. I've spent 8 months trying to find my confidence and my self esteem and just try to learn to love myself again and it's hard. The extra weight doesn't help. But the others are right. Lose the weight for…

Also, it's pretty impossible for women to get too bulky. We just don't have it in us. Unless you're doing some serious weight lifting which I doubt you will be. Weights are good.

Honestly, what you're doing sounds like a lot. What about rest days? Your body needs time to repair itself and it sounds as if you're not giving it the time to do that. I am a huge advocate of pilates. I love doing it as it's low impact and is improving my posture and flexibility. But still. Personally, I think you're…

Personally I would add some strength training into that. That's how you'll lose the inches and will help you in seeing a difference. I do echo everything the others have said though. It takes patience and time and you will get there. Just keep at it! 23;bs is awesome.

I don't have fibromyalgia but I do have chronic fatigue syndrome which is pretty similar. I've had it for a while so I've learned how to read my body and know when I'm overdoing it. I was really scared of doing anything at first in case I made anything worse so I started with pilates. It's really low impact and teaches you…

Thank you to everyone for your comments and support. I like the idea of writing down a plan and trying to stick to it. I know logically that it needs to be a step by step/day by day process but sometimes I just forget and let everything get on top of me. If I have a daily goal written down then that might help me to…

I think if you had stated it as opinion then people may not have been 'bashing'. It's because you're trying to state it as fact that people have got annoyed. As one poster said you could find articles and studies that support both sides of the argument. Unless the evidence is overwhelming either way then there is no fact.…

I'm there with ya! I've been tired and unmotivated for the past week and haven't been eating all that well. As I write this I'm working my way through chocolate :-(. I keep pictures around of how I look at my heaviest and how I looked a couple of years ago when I had lost some. It reminds me of what I'm working towards. I…

Stick some dry shampoo on after you've done that and it'll make all the difference! I couldn't live without dry shampoo.

You should be proud of your progress. You've really done an awesome job so far. Recovering from an ED is so hard but you're really self aware about your issues and you're not hiding anything from yourself. Keep going the way you're going!

I have an unfortunate habit of weighing every day usually more than once BUT I only log it every 2 weeks, first thing in the morning after peeing. Weighing every day more than once can give you a better idea of how much your weight can fluctuate and it will fluctuate a lot! Try not to take too much notice of it. Make sure…

I can't figure out how to put pics on but mine are purple and I always wear a toe ring. The current one is silver with a butterfly in the middle :-)

WOW! That is an amazing transformation! Well done you!!

I've only been on the healthy train for a couple of months so I still have some ways to go. I do still eat chocolate but nowhere near as much as I used to. I've really cut back on it. I very rarely drink fizzy driinks, just ocassionally when I want something different. The main difference is I don't eat takeaways anymore!…

Wow! There's a lot of love for zumba right now! Ok, you've all convinced me. I shall give it a go. Need to find someone to go with now....
-
I'm 5'3 and only 10lbs heavier than you and I don't look anywhere near that good. You definitely don't look morbidly obese but if you want an honest answer I would say you look a bit overweight. You've got the right attitude with the exercising and the better eating will come in time. But on the other hand I admire your…

Hey, my diary's open. Feel free to add me :-)

I'm curious about zumba. It's dance right? Because I'm completely uncoordinated so was just wondering whether it would be worth it.

Self sabotage is a *****. I'm currently trying to fight through the wall now and I don't have the excuse of a period. It's so frustrating!
-
Hey feel free to add me. I know that feeling of eating out of boredom or emotions. It sucks! Having friends on here is the only thing that has kept me going :-)

I think it's a sleep issue more than anything else. If you're not getting enough quality sleep then that will make you fatigued and sluggish throughout the day. Do you drink a lot of caffeine during the day? Because that can have an effect on sleep. Also look at the sleep environment. Is it cosy, comfortable? Is your…

@justgemmy: Keep fighting the good fight. Lack of evidence based reasoning will surely be our downfall. I feel your pain. [/quote]
