My stats are pretty much around the same as yours although my bra size is 34E. I lost weight last year (and then put it all back on again, that's another story) and my boobs actually got bigger. Not looked bigger, actually got bigger. As for keeping them perky, I have no idea! Mine have never been perky. I would guess…

I'm not dismissing a food connection. As I said there are certain foods that contain serotonin, chocolate for example is a common one. I'm not a pharmaceutical rep. I'm a psychology student and have written several papers on depression and all of the different causes for it, particularly biological. I checked out the links…

Serotonin is NOT controlled in the gut. It is a hormone that works off receptors in the brain! Too little serotonin can cause depression. There are certain foods that have more serotonin in them which stimulate the receptors as does exercise and sex. However, there are certain people who are predisposed to depression as…

I never realised (although it makes perfect sense now it's been pointed out) that boobs would make such a difference. Mine weigh around 7lbs each. Huh. Something to think about definitely.

If you're just eating because you're bored and not actually hungry try and find something else to do. For me, I do puzzles. Sounds silly but it keeps my hands busy and is just enough for my mind to concentrate on to keep my mind off food. Drink water aswell as again, it gives something for your hands to do and makes your…

^^^This! Please don't get discouraged. The benefits you'll get from not smoking will completely outweigh this period of none weight loss. Just keep doing what you're doing and your body will catch up!

Hey, feel free to add me. Friends make all the difference on here!

Wow, this topic seems to have generated a lot of fire. I'm british so we don't get Dr Oz but I've heard a lot about him from american friends and people on here. I don't really know what to say to be honest. But what I will say to the people getting angry about being stereotyped simply for having an eating disorder, you're…

Judging from this picture there is NO WAY you are 41% body fat. I'm just under 200lbs at 5'3 and apparently I'm 35% body fat. You have an awesome figure! I have big boobs too so I know the pain but I honestly wouldn't worry too much about your body fat. Check your measurements and just think about how you feel. You are…

^^^This. I don't eat my exercise calories back and I'm absolutely fine. My personal trainer gives me nutrition goals every week and it never includes that. I figure he knows what he's doing and it's working for me so I see no problem. Everyone's different though.

Asda supersavers stuff is really really cheap. Not the best quality of stuff but if it's just for a short while (fingers crossed for you getting the job) it should be ok. I used to live off the stuff and as long as you're not too picky you can manage it. And no, if you're just contributing rent to someone then you won't…

What are burpees?
-
I'm not sure how it works in america but try going to farmers markets and things for your fruit and veg. It's usually much cheaper and better quality. I also find that if I go shopping later in the day, quite often a lot of stuff is reduced because of sell by dates. There's usually nothing wrong with it but shops have to…

Cardio alone will not help you lose weight, it will only help you get a bit fitter. Strength training is what will help you lose weight.

Haha! I totally agree! Oh and to the woman saying she doesn't want her children to be gingers, we're gonna take over the world eventually. Get used to it.

5'3 but I'm not short, I'm space efficient ;-)

I use prograde protein powder. I like it, it tastes good and lasts awhile. As for price it's about 40 dollars for a bottle. It seems ok to me. Give it a try and see what you think.

I second this. I have one and it depends what I'm doing with it. If it's pilates then I log it as pilates. If it's calisthenics I log it as that.

Awesome! Thank you!

Honestly, I think everyone puts too much faith in the whole bmr/tdee thing. It's all averages. Everyone's body works in different ways. Two people who are the same height and weight don't necessarily have the same metabolism etc. Just try a few things and see what works best for you. If you are exercising a lot I probably…

Please, anyone!

Yeah, this is completely false. IF isn't for everyone but it's definitely working for me. I've posted this link before but I'll post it again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-n8xJXYHIg But as others have said, do it because it works for you not becuase you think you're going to get a miracle cure. Try it out and see what…

Ahh then I've been doing it right which I'm pretty relieved about actually. Thanks!!

I'm really confused with all this. From what I've been told and what I've seen I thought you didn't have to keep your back straight? Well, straight as in not curved but not vertical. If that makes sense. I've been doing that and it works for me. I really feel it in the backs of my thighs and my butt. Confusion! Also to the…

Hey, feel free to add me. The support on here is what has kept me going so far! It's awesome. :-)
-
No, you do not need to eat back exercise calories unless you're trying to bulk up. How tall are you and how much do you weigh?
-
I think they'll help with your overall fitness and strength but you can't spot reduce no matter what you try. Give it a go though. It won't hurt!

'Never p*ss off your hairdresser.' Not as motivating as the rest but good advice nonetheless! Another would be 'Try before you buy.'

1lb a week may be slow but it's healthy. I understand the impatience but if you are losing a steady 1lb a week then that's amazing. Muscle does not weight more than fat. It's just denser than fat, so you may weigh the same but your inches will shrink so measure your inches and ignore the scale. Also, you could try lowering…

Check this out. It'll explain everything a lot better and then maybe you'll stop being such an *kitten*. If it's not for you then fair enough. Just respect other people's choices. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-n8xJXYHIg
