Is anyone else having problems updating their ticker? :/ The "Next" button on every tickerfactory.com page just refreshes the page for me without actually letting me go to the next page... I'll try again later I guess!

First week down and I'm right on track! I've run 23.13 miles out of my 100 miles (only running)! :D
-
I'm in again too (from July lol)! :) I'll do my best to run 100 miles before school starts!

The Nike+iPod app is okay, but the Nike+GPS app is muuuch more accurate. The GPS app allows you to map your run and calculate an accurate distance, and has all the standard Nike+iPod features (estimate caloric burn, calculate average speed and highest speed, play music from your iPod,...). Plus, the Nike+GPS app is free…

Hahaha, I looove #14. :P

I've heard Arctic Ice Cream is really good but I've never tried it myself. It's only 150cal for a whole pint and it's loaded with protein without any artificial sugars. :) It's only sold at selective stores (Whole Foods and the like) but if you have a sweet tooth this summer, you should give it a try! I originally heard…

bump!! but for reals, what temperature? lol

I used to hate that feeling to the point at which I would eat a small meal at breakfast and only drink tiny sips of water until dinner, just to avoid the bloaty feeling during school (that way of eating probably made the bloating worse though, lol). Now, I just eat smaller meals all the time and drink water in many small…

I must admit, I'm a Fage fan at heart! :)

Wow, these are all awesome suggestions!! :D I'll work it out with my mom and figure out what we can do! Thanks for all your thoughtful responses!

Eat back MOST bUT NOT ALL of your exercise calories!! There is an amazing post about it here: http://caloriecount.about.com/eating-back-exercise-calories-ft35823 The most important point from the linked article is that WHENEVER YOU LOG EXERCISE, YOU ARE OVERLOGGING YOUR CALORIES! Here is a direct quote: Mistake #2:…

YUM!! BUMP!

Working out for long periods of time has helped me lessen my obsession too. I've also started logging the majority of my meals the night before. I usually log in about 4/5 of my calories, estimate my exercise, then set aside that food for the next day. It takes the guessing and thinking out of my food. :) When I'm having a…

LOL so true. This sounds interesting though and could easily be done throughout the day. :)

Omg! Wow, what an inspiration!

Running is amazing!! :D Great cardio and high energy output, while building lean muscle! Plus, if you run long-distances, you can really get a nice tour of your neighborhood or a local area. Just be careful to log your calories and not go over! When I first started long-distance running, I would go out for 5 miles (that's…

BUMP!! :D Yum!

I have chondromalacia too! I'm an avid-runner (usually 30-40 mi/week during summer) and was training for a half-marathon last month, when BAM, I woke up one morning with terrible knee pain. Here I am, two weeks later, barely able to walk up the stairs for work in the morning. I usually bike to and from work, so I'm not…

When I'm running I'm usually pretty aware of my form, but yesterday, while walking to work I was definitely hitting my heel too hard (and wearing flats no less...)! Thanks so much for all your responses!! I'll probably wait a few days and rest before calling in my doc. Hey, at least I get to go [running] shoe shopping! :P

I agree with all the posters above! Can't go wrong with any fruit (fresh or frozen) + milk (or yogurt or juice) I like to add spinach to mine, just to give an added boost of vitamins and fiber. They don't taste like anything and they thicken the smoothie!

OMG this sounds so, so, SO good! I'm making this ASAP! Thank you for sharing!! :)

OMG the infamous balut!! I saw that on the show Fear Factor once, and I thought "Haha, the Pilipino contestant has this in the bag. My [Pinoy] grandma just bought that yesterday for lunch!" Can't say I've had it myself though, haha. You are far braver than I am. :) edit: fixed quote and spacing

Horse milk in Kazakhstan -- it smells and tastes like straight-up vinegar! :P Horse meat tastes a bit like beef, just a bit tougher... I think I'll stick to just riding horses from now on!

I'm in the same boat and just think "the only way you're going to lose the weight and keep it off is to do it for yourself!" People on MFP can give you added support! :)

Strength training is always easier if you're already warmed up! :) I can never do push-ups/pull-ups/etc without a quick run or other cardio exercise right beforehand. Warming up your muscles makes strength training less likely to injure you too. Best of luck!

Absolutely! I'm a sucker for numbers and I'll almost order the lowest cal thing on the menu, even if it's not what I originally wanted...
-
LOL. My snacking while I cook more than makes up for this "workout" :P
-
Tomorrow's my two-a-day! :) I'm waking up at 6 for my 10 mi run, then after work I'm going on a 5 mi run with a friend. Excited and scared at the same time... **edit: tomorrow is my two-a-day, not today. A time traveler I am not...

This is great! Thanks for sharing! :)

I don't eat pork either. :) I actually really don't like the taste of meat and only have it occasionally. You can get plenty of protein from eggs, fish, and beans anyway!
