2015 will be the year of the Marathon for me, I signed up for my first one in May, the Vermont City Marathon, if all goes well I may sign up for a fall one. I also have signed up for some 10Ks, my annual charity 9k, and a half, 2015 looks to be a whole lot of running for me

you are awesome

if it ever stops making me happy then I will stop, but I hope to be one of the those 90 year olds running marathons

Finished the Green Stride Newburyport Half Marathon on Sunday with a new PR of 2:25:07, and I also didn't feel like complete death after so that is the major win

my jacket is pretty much all polyester
-
once I get home and look at my jacket I can tell you material but it is very light and since I live in MA I will have to do layers with it once it gets very cold (super) I think with you just a nice wicking shirt (I get all mine at Marshalls) and a jacket with either shorts or pants should be fine. When you walk into…

I always tell people to check out Marshalls and TJ Maxx (not sure if you have any near you) but they always have name brand stuff for the cheap. For rain it really depends on the temp too, but for basic I have a nice wind breaker type running jacket that has air vents so I don't get too sweaty and keeps me dry on the…

Get good sneakers and get C25K, and it's ok to start off slow, and walk sometimes that does not make you a failure
-
been running a little over 2 years, never ran before, started with c25k then worked up from there, I will be running my 2nd half marathon in 8 days and hoping to run a Marathon next year. Right now I average about 20 miles a week, that will be going up soon
-
as most will say, go to a legit running store to get shoes, they will look at your gate and how you run and find you the proper shoe and they should allow returns if the shoes do not work out for you

Guess I forgot to post in here oops 2014 Goal... Run at least 1 race every month, so far so good, I have the Green Stride 1/2 marathon coming up for my October race and I have already signed up for a 5k in November and December
-
there are non app things that can give you a basic idea of what to do. I am work right now so can't look them up sorry, but google couch to 5k that should help you find things
-
first off, good for you for doing all of that. When I first started running I learned pretty quickly that I was running much too fast, C25K app taught me I needed to pace myself to be able to run a distance more then half a mile. That might be your issue and I recommend an app or plan that starts you off run/walking to get…

what helped me get started was the C25K app, and I am one who could never ever run a mile in school so I started from nothing
