What's the rush?

Seriously, this just pisses me off. My good friends who have been in long term loving relationships can't legally get married, and yet these two yahoos can?
-
Yeah, thank God those pesky gays can't get married and the sanctity of marriage is being protected by the law. *rolls eyes*

I lost the bulk of my weight BEFORE joining MFP. Since joining MFP back in 2010, I've only lost about 4lbs. About a month ago, I stopped logging my calories and the weight has been coming off again (very slowly, but I'm at those last 10 "vanity" pounds, so that's expected). Bottom line, what works for one person may not…

I prefer to exercise alone. I just put my headphones on and ignore the rest of the world.

If you were in his shoes, what would you want your friend(s) to do?

1. 31 2. Hourglass (40-29-40) 3. I've always had an hourglass shape (well defined waist) even when I was 30lbs heavier. I'm on to the last 10lbs of my weight-loss journey, and right now exercise has been the most important with defining my shape.

This is basically my approach. I don't talk about my weight loss/fitness goals with other people (except for my core support group who are in the same boat as I). Do you want to grab some lunch? -"Sorry, I just ate / brought my own lunch from home / have other plans" There is cake/donuts/ice cream in the break-room, want…

I like mine grilled on a kebab next to chicken and steak. DELISH! **I can't believe I forgot to mention stir-fry as well!

Oh man, I get this ALL THE TIME. Last year I had a tummy tuck to remove 4lbs of loose skin from my pregnancies. I also had my abs stitched back together since they were separated 2 inches. I didn't have any lipo and I still have stretch marks on my lower abdomen along with a lovely scar that goes from hip to hip. Since my…

I'm 5'2" and 147lbs (that's me in my profile pic). It really depends on your skeletal structure and muscle mass. For me, I can already see my hip bones and bottom ribs sticking out. 125lbs would be way too skinny for my frame.

Eggs, tuna, chicken, cheese, and Greek yogurt are my "go to" protein sources. I usually toss a couple of chicken breasts in the crock pot and cook them on Sunday. Shred the meat and keep it in the fridge. It makes it easy to add some extra protein to any salad or pasta/rice dishes.

This is the ratio that I use and I find that it works great for me.

I feel it depends on the type of workouts you're doing. If you're doing really intense workouts like weight training, kickboxing, running, etc., then YES take a rest day. If you're doing low impact workouts like walking, yoga, or beginner pilates, then I see no problems with doing something like that every day.

I just started C25K too! Today (my off day) I'm taking a pilates class.

OMG!!! This times 1000! I F#$&ING HATE THAT THING!

Tomorrow is my last day of Stage 7 for NROLFW. For the past 6 months I've been listening to MFP (which had me eating 1200 calories) instead of what was suggested in the book. Over the past 6 months I've seen my strength improve a ton but only dropped 1.5lbs. 2 weeks ago I got my RMR tested and was told by the doc that I…

No, regular white potatoes are on the "bad carb" side. Really, this is a tasty way to eat sweet potatoes (which are a good carb due to their high fiber and vitamin content). My husband, who has a palate of a 12 year old and only eats pizza and hot dogs, actually really likes sweet potatoes when I cook them this way. Also,…

Cut up a sweet potato, drizzle some extra virgin olive oil, and sprinkle some salt, pepper, and paprika. Bake at 350 for about 20 min. Very tasty and good for you!

I like to have some peanut butter on crackers or toast as snack. Peanut butter can be good for you as it's a good source of protein and natural fats. Just stick to the natural peanut butters (the ones with the oil on top that you have to stir and store in the refrigerator). Otherwise they're loaded with extra sugars and…

Don't weigh yourself every day. Honestly, it does more harm than good.

Yeah, what he's doing is not my thing, but he's not hurting anyone, not breaking any laws, and he keeps it to the privacy of his own home. From what I know he's a law abiding tax paying citizen who has a job. All the people on here saying he's "gross" and "disgusting" are pretty "gross" and "disgusting" to me. This guy…

I met my husband at a Vampire the Masquerade game! 8 years of marriage and 1 kid later, we're still going strong. The couple that plays together, stays together.

It's clear that you're doing this for vanity and not for health. Biotin and upping your calories. 800 calories will most likely cause your hair to fall out from the nutrient deficiency. Make sure you're getting enough protein, calcium, and iron.

I started stage 7 yesterday. It was pretty damn hard! Loved every second of it!

I start stage 7 on Monday!

I'm 5'2" and currently 147lbs (size 8). I have a larger frame and an athletic/curvy physique, so my current goal is to get down to a size 6. However, I'm happy with my shape so I'm working on trading fat for muscle buy doing weight training 3 days a week. I know there is a huge possibility I won't drop many pounds (if…

Ugh!!! No! As a woman, she will NOT get bulky. Females do not have the testosterone levels that men do that get them to "bulk up" without the use of supplements/hormones and hours a day at the gym. low REPS high WEIGHT is the way to go. The only way her muscles are going to get "longer" is if she grows a couple of inches.…
